We just moved to Tybee and wanted to participate in the Small Business Saturday so we made a visit to the Windrose Bar & Grill on Tybrisa(16th st.) We were provided with great service from Sarah at the bar. Her attention to detail was awesome. I love dive bars and this one had a jukebox so they get 2 thumbs up from me. Come and relax with locals. Cheers

What a gem when visiting Tybee. I have been to Tybee a few times in the past and found this place on the 1st night we got here this year. We are on day 6 of our vacation now and have been back everyday. The food is without a doubt the best on the island. We had the pleasure of meeting James( the cook) and he really takes pride in the food he is turning out..on our first night there they ran out of the beer that we drank but told us they would have it the next day even though the beer truck doesn't run and they came through it was there cold waiting on us. We also met the owners while there and I must say was pleasure to get to know them.. and can't leave out the best bartender during our trip who we referred to as Turbo.. lol..great fun.. everyone needs to try this place just once don't judge a book by its cover just go in and relax and have a great time.

We were walking around Tybee island and decided to stop in here. Ariel greeted us from the door as we walked by and told us to come on in. We ordered two drinks and some food. The place was very clean and the service was excellent. I definitely recommend doing a flavored margarita. The fries had the most amazing seasoning in them.

We loved the atmosphere but unfortunately we were accused of not paying for our first beer. So barkeep charged us an additional $8. We asked for a review of video, asked to see denomination of bill. She couldn’t see it. On the way out she stated “She hates people from Wisconsin”. Don’t worry we won’t be back.

Well, this place is 100% a dive bar. All the reviews online talk about their food. The food was awful. I ordered the fried grouper. It looked like it was fried yesterday and microwaved today. I guess maybe they are good for drinks, but this is definitely not a restaurant.

I work in the area and have been trying new things to be able to recommend what to eat and what to avoid to tourists who ask while on vacation . I'm gonna be as blunt but as polite as I can . Not worth it . I placed a pickup order for 2 . I ordered 2 all American burgers that came with a side of fries each . I also got the fried pickles . Don't get me wrong, it LOOKED AMAZING when opening the tray initially but the pickles were too crisp (looked golden and appealing but maybe the grease is up to high in temp) and the fries were overcooked :( the burger was alright . Although the buns were burnt where they tried to toast it, it was still the best thing on the tray but still wouldn't recommend . My hubby went to pick our order up with our 3 month old and the guy at the bar said he couldn't be in there with the baby lol . Mind ya business next time dude . I was highly disappointed, especially for the price we paid :/ hubby approves this review .

Great little bar in Tybee that makes you feel like a local! Ariel, the bartender, was a joy to visit with, and her Hot Toddies (back in December of 2024 [I’m sorry! I suck at writing reviews! 🫣]) really hit the spot on the brisk day I visited the Island! The fish and chips were fantastic as well. Will be visiting Ariel and Wind Rose the next time I’m in the area!

I can only speak about the pickup services and about their Tuesday Lunch special. Very happy!

The lovely woman on the phone took the order without flaw, and it was ready by the time I walked from our condo literally across the street. The meal came with a drink. We got the turkey and dressing, with collards and mac and cheese. The collards were smoky/porky and cooked so tender they literally melt in your mouth, but not in a mushy way. The Mac and cheese is casserole kind, like with the egg added, not the saucy kind. Dressing was soooo flavorful and moist, heavy on the poultry seasoning, in a very good way, and not overly saged at all. The turkey had a good flavor, a tad dry but honestly whose Turkey doesn’t fall victim to that on occasion, and the generous side of gravy provided the perfect pairing. The meal with tax was right at $12, and I was stuffed and happy to put the box with leftovers in the fridge for snacking on later.

Keep in mind it is strictly 21+, and a smoking establishment, so no kids dining inside. Which is why we just grabbed as to go.

I look forward to trying tomorrow’s lunch special!
