The absolutely best BBQ I have had in awhile! We were told Sam wasn’t there but the gentleman that took care of my girlfriend and I was extremely polite and took great care of us. I can tell this is a family joint because of all of the food was made with love. 11/10 recommend this place. Order everything on the menu, especially the ribs!

Sam's Carry Out BBQ has some of the best BBQ, food really, we've had. The chicken and ribs were our favorites and we really like the baked beans and macaroni and cheese. The mustard BBQ sauce is our favorite. Great customer service and friendly people, Sam is a generous and welcoming man. He gave us samples so we could choose what we liked best. I'm glad we stopped and tried the food.If we're back that way I'm looking forward to trying the smoked sausage, unfortunately he was out when we were there.

I travel the country for work, and sams is BY FAR the best bang for your buck at ANY food spot in the country. I'm not big into bbq, but trust me, this place will blow you away. Insane portions, very fresh food, and homemade bbq sauce.

An unpretentious spot but with a tremendous amount of heart. You know you are in great company when the folks outside tell you that this is the best food in town!!! Then we met Sam! What an amazing gentleman!!!! Right from the get go you knew you were in good hands… from his warm welcome to the free sampler ! I have never eaten anywhere that has offered a sampler the size of a dinner portion for 4!!!!! And Terry! Kept bringing more samplers … the sausage was delicious !!!! The ribs , the pulled pork the potato salad and the Mac and cheese!.. delicious! Then we got to chatting with Sam … talk about giving back to his community… at the end of day ,the food left over .. he feeds the folks in the park… free dinners at thanksgiving… and the list of his generosity endless.I am surprised that guy fieri has not found this gem for his show!Thank you Sam, thank you terry we will see you the next time we pass through Valdosta ga!Parking: Sam has his own parking lot

This place is the epitome of a hole in the wall but the BBQ is so good!! I highly recommend the ribs, they are so juicy they just fall off the bones. Macaroni is good, all in all worth the stop! Don't let the outside (or inside) scare you off! They do accept credit cards!

I searched for a local bbq restaurant and found this gem! Omg people, this guy knows his bbq. He gave us a sample plate and everything on the plate was delicious. We ordered 2 pulled pork sandwiches and a slab of ribs to take home to North Georgia. We will support this man and his business on our future trips to Florida. How have we lived here for five years and not tried this place yet? Prices were extremely reasonable (our meal for a family of 5 cost less than most fast-food runs!) and my husband said the service was fantastic. The pulled pork and mac and cheese were delicious. He even threw in some ribs to try and they were great as well. Will definitely be back.
Iam a truck driver and have been all around the country trying barbecue. I smelled this driving down the road too one of my drops and had to try it. I ordered the rib plate and man this was the best ribs I have ever had in my life. I brought some to my wife who don’t even like ribs and she was amazed. I will definitely make this one of my spots when I come through Valdosta. Do not sleep on this place it’s a must try

Sam's BBQ is my favorite in town. Ribs are delicious, pulled pork is excellent, and the baked beans and Mac n cheese are great too. I liked that the beans have some meat in there too. The prices are very competitive too compared to other BBQ places in town. The gentleman behind the counter was super friendly and helpful too. Overall, This is an authentic, takeout BBQ place and I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Per my husband (I'm vegetarian) the sausage and pulled pulled pork were amazing and the pulled pork was a massive portion. The Mac and Cheese was beyond weird. Some bites were ridiculously sweet, and others I can't even describe. Even my husband was appalled when he tried it. We got a large and ate like maybe 8 bites and just couldn't do it anymore. So if meat is your thing they're awesome, 5 stars. Mac and Cheese oh and stale Key Lime Cake, I'd pass.
