This has a bar atmosphere and if that is what you like then you will appreciate it. Music is too loud for decent dinner conversations. Lighting is dim making it hard to read the menu.we only had appetizers. Hush puppies were disappointing. Over cooked on the outside and mushy on the inside. Also very very salty. Ahi Tuna good, side salad good and shrimp cocktail good. The food all came out t different times. No water offered until later and no extra napkins. Overall if you will charge this much you have to be top notch in your food nd atmosphere.

Definitely miss the old Salty Snapper. Food to me wasn’t as good as what I spent. Service was great but the food was not reminiscent of the original Salty Snapper.

We had a great meal today at The Salty Snapper. Our burgers were amazing!! Our waitress was very attentive and really catered to us. The new ambiance in the restaurant was sooooo much better than it used to be!!! So all around great job guys!!! We will be back for a burger and to try the new dinner service!!

Went on a date night for our first visit here. Although the service could’ve been a little better, the food was great. We sampled several different things and really enjoyed the Dilly bread, the glazed salmon, and The big kahuna burger. The fish dip was just OK. Pricing not terrible either, we will definitely be back!

Drove in from Atlanta to visit family and could not think of a better dining experience in Valdosta! From the live music outside, great portions and superb taste— I can’t wait to go back. New management has the customer service to a standard our whole table enjoyed (thank you Katia). Thank you for a quality experience after a packed day on the road. Excited to see this spot continue their successes!

P.S. the bacon jam on the dilly bread is a MUST

We just left the Salty Snapper, and man oh man was it a delightful experience from the service to the food.
I had the snapper and grits and my wife had the fried shrimp basket. It was absolutely amazing
Our server was Kenzie and she was absolutely awesome, very attentive, sweet and cared how our dining experience went
If i could give this place more than 5 stars i would.

I would like to redo my review for suggestions. 1. On Time and presentation makes people willing to pay for good food! 2. Good selections of drinks is always a must! So buy that case of beer just in case someone asks. 3. Good service is float or sink the boat. Train your servers well! Lastly please fix the ladies bathrooms that don’t lock! I would love to see Salty snapper thrive and grow and Valdosta remembers to well bad food and service!

Me and my husband were celebrating our anniversary and we decided to give the Salty Snapper a try. Shrimp were spoiled and they tried to cover it up, by over seasoning them to cover the smell. Then I asked to substitute it for catfish and sadly they said, they sold out before our arrival. Then me and my husband came in too see vibe was really good on main entrance of restaurant, but sadly we were put in the back and away from people. This was not the experience we were hoping for driving over an hour away from home, and with it being our 1st time here. I wouldn't recommend anyone to eat here.

The salty snapper is back and better than ever. The brunch is now my favorite brunch in Valdosta. The food is better and less expensive than other like-quality restaurants. The shrimp and grits is exceptional, highly recommended. I can also recommend the biscuits and gravy as well as the wontons. Can’t wait to go back.
