“After reading mixed reviews, my husband and I decided to take the plunge and try it. The seating inside is limited but the restaurant was clean and staff was AMAZING! Very attentive to every need.
The food was quick to arrive and very filling. I got the pulled pork with 2 sides while my husband got the pick 3 with 2 sides. He ended up eating half of my meal. Overall it cost $51 for the two of us.
The food was pretty good overall. Exactly what you’d expect it to be. The muffins were the star! They were very similar to jiffy cornbread with honey butter and cheese.
The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the bbq sauce tasted like spicy marina to me and it was rather expensive. I’m used to feeding a family of 5 at Sonny’s with AYCE for $60 with tip. Otherwise, it’s a great restaurant with a great atmosphere and staff. Highly recommend!“

“We have the order to go by the time I got my dumplings and turnip greens. They were both cold. The dumplings look like a big blob. It was not a good meal. I’ve had this problem with them before and I keep giving them second chances because I have like their dumplings in the past. I’m including pictures from my meal.“

“I don’t understand why there is always a wait time of 25-30min, even though there are plenty of tables available. “short staffed”, if this is the case, is an issue which can be easily resolved by hiring the necessary amount of people. Also the ordering at the counter took quite long. This is not a great service

“Tonight I observed a hard working team of young people who respected their leader & work together to execute orders for their customers. I ordered a 15pc wing, which required the team to cook my food to order. I didn't receive attitude, nor did I detect an unwillingness to prepare the order. Bridgette who was the manager on duty stated "she could really use one more person" out of fatigue but expressed it calmly as if it were simply wishful thinking. Her location was understaffed but they pulled together to prepare the orders efficiently. I was impressed with what I was seeing. One of the young men took the initiative to fill the straw holders in drive thru, where he could've easily ignored the need and left it for someone else to do. I also asked to make sure my wings were well cooked. To ensure my order was as I requested she cooked them an extra minute. The team was under pressure, tired, and understaffed yet still provided exceptional service to customers that were there as I waited & to me as well. Keep up the good work Bridgette & team, good customer service is on the verge of extinction. I appreciate experiencing such great service this evening there with you and your people. Blessings⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
