I had a really frustrating experience at Steak ’n Shake. I ended up waiting way longer than expected, and after about 30 minutes, I noticed my food had just been sitting there the entire time. When they finally tried to hand it to me, I asked if that was the same burger that had been sitting up there, and the employee confirmed that it was.
At that point, it was obvious the food wasn’t fresh anymore, which is pretty disappointing when you’re paying for a hot meal. The lack of attention and care from the staff made the whole situation worse. If food is sitting out that long, it shouldn’t be served to customers.
Overall, really poor service and not a great experience. I expected better.

It's been years since I went to a Steak and Shake because the last one was awful. Dirty, slow and just bad. This one, however, is emaculate. Clean, friendly and just fantastic. We just got shakes this time but will definitely be returning. You can see the guy cooking smash burgers and it flung a craving on me!

Had a taste for their cheese fries and when I received my order I was a few fries in to what I seen was a piece of hair in my fries , should’ve took a picture for proof but was too disgusted to even think about it , amazing customer service tho but pleaseeee make sure yall hats or hair nets are ON fellow employees !!!

Very good food and shakes. Staff are nice, and the bathroom was slightly dirty, but that could have been just then. Definitely recommended a shake with lunch or dinner. The garlic burger is a banger! Also, get some onion rings; very delicious. This is a wholesome place you should visit. God bless.

Not seasoned at all very bland, only gave us enough fries to fill up 1 fry instead of 2. And the fries weren’t seasoned. I’m just glad it wasn’t burnt really bad like last time. Customer service was great!

THE WORST STEAK N SHAKE EVER! Dry customer service, bland flavourless burgers, no char as if they microwaved them. Yet fries were too salty. Drinks were flat. Milkshake was partially melted yet we received the. Through drive thru.
Service was great. Food was good. Like the fries. Cut very thin. The burger was good. But not great. Always go here when I have the chance. The burgers are better than any other fast food.

My recent visit to the Steak ’n Shake in Warner Robins was deeply disappointing and highlighted a significant decline in both service and overall restaurant standards. What should have been a simple, straightforward meal turned into an example of poor management, lackluster staff performance, and a complete absence of attention to detail.
Our order was mishandled from the start. Several items we requested never arrived, and the items that did make it to the table were cold, incorrect, or noticeably underwhelming in quality. Basic accuracy and temperature—fundamentals of any dining establishment—were simply not met.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant further reflected this lack of professionalism. The staff appeared disengaged, playful, and largely uninterested in their responsibilities. There was no visible management presence, no leadership guiding the team, and no sense of urgency or pride in the service being provided. The environment felt more like a teenage hangout than a functioning restaurant.
Steak ’n Shake once had a reputation for dependable service and consistent quality, but this location has clearly fallen far from that standard. Until management addresses these issues—staff training, leadership oversight, food quality, and basic customer service—I cannot recommend this location to anyone.
For now, diners should consider alternative options until a meaningful turnaround is made.
