Kani House - Woodstock

Went here with my parents and my daughter and we got seated and couldn't really sit in the middle because they said other people might come no one ever came so I don't see why we couldn't have set in the middle. Other than that the food was phenomenal the cook did so much fun stuff and it was a really awesome experience. My daughter got to catch an egg in the air and it was a lot of fun for her she said she couldn't do it but I knew she could. She also got sushi. They have a lot of sushi to choose from it is very good The steak and salmon are phenomenal. They're shrimp are to die for and the noodles are really good on the stove top. Highly recommend.

They have the best Japanese food in Cherokee county. We enjoy the private dining tables as well as the hibachi tables on special occasions. I enjoy the steak filet, galbi, shrimp, scallops and salmon entree. I really enjoy their vegetable hibachi but wish there was a way to add on those special elevated vegetables to your steak plate like al a carte. They have a large cocktail menu with a full bar, Japanese drinks and multiple types of sake. Everything including service is great here!

We attempted to eat there June 5 and after we were seated we noticed roach bugs crawling on our table at the grill. We left after finding the third bug.

The food is amazing! The first time we got hibachi dine in, and the second a chicken teriyaki bowl. I heard the sushi rolls were good too from my boyfriend!

Really enjoyed our Habitchi lunch today on a Saturday! They actually keep lunch prices for weekends — which is unlike so many places!! Our server was Caelon and he was a great server and kept our waters filled and gave us all of the Togo things we needed when we left. Hibachi is my favorite type of food, and this was great. Thanks!

We came for our first visit on Mother’s Day and I’m so glad we did! The food was just so delicious. Our server,John, was attentive and wonderful. There were 6 of us in a booth and we ordered appetizers, chirashi, katsu and galbi bento boxes and filet hibachi.
We all said the same thing repeatedly, Wow this is really good. Wow this is a lot of food. Wow we really need to come back here again. Very impressed!

Tim is the best chef we have ever had for hibachi. He was entertaining and engaging throughout dinner. We enjoyed seeing some new tricks as well as his skillful preparation of the meal. Thank you, Tim, for going above and beyond.

First and last time here. Place is super dirty, under maintenance, and bad service overall. Hibachi vibes are super low, employees are tired, and they forget your order.

Fastest hibachi show I’ve ever been to. Chef did everything in 10 min. I volunteered myself to crack the egg, but he never called me, he was tired. There was a birthday boy at my table, they did nothing for him. No happy birthday, no singing, no cake with candle, nothing. I felt bad for him.

I asked my waitress for a Coke 2 times and she forgot, then she offered it at the end when we were paying the check. I thought she did it on purpose because she only came to our table 2 times, to pick up the order and then at the end.

No water refills, my husband and I had to share the same cup of water they served us at the beginning until the end.

We ordered sushi as an appetizer and the waiter never brought sushi chopsticks. I had to stand up and grab them myself at the station.

Sushi was bad quality, same as Kroger. The hibachi was ok, just my shrimp was overcooked. The soup is just hot water, they didn’t even put salt, and the ginger sauce for the salad was gross.

We paid $110 for two people for horrible service, bad food, and a dirty place. This place shouldn’t be open.

This was a Narnia another world surreal experience, I’ve never experienced such continuous and on-purpose bad service like this. At some point, I didn’t know if all the employees were upset and wanted revenge on the customers or what the situation was there?

Anyways, Good luck if you ever come here.

We love going to Kani House! Volcano has a similar menu but the food, value, and atmosphere are way better at Kani House. Plus Kathy, the hostess, is always very friendly when we arrive. She's the best!The hibachi and sushi are always great. I usually get the Bento box and leave with leftovers.

We returned after a great anniversary experience, but this visit was a major disappointment. We were quoted a 15-minute wait and ended up waiting over an hour. Aside from Caylon, the staff was shockingly unprofessional. When we asked about the delay, we were told the chef “was on his way,” while several tables sat visibly frustrated and only one chef appeared to be working.
When the chef finally showed up, we calmly expressed our concerns. He responded by laughing in our faces, dismissing us, and then began yelling across the table, calling my husband “belligerent.” It was rude, hostile, and completely unacceptable behavior from someone in a customer-facing role.
The hostess blamed extra allergy prep time, but that didn’t justify the excessive wait or explain why other tables were experiencing the same issue. We ultimately left and went to Volcano down the road, where the service was professional, timely, noticeably cleaner, and they have great deals every Monday and Tuesday. Much better experience overall.
