“I recently hosted a rehearsal dinner for 50 people at Tuscany Italian Restaurant. The food was delicious. The service was superb --- courteous, prompt, inconspicuous, accommodating, very congenial. One would have thought they were serving their own friends and family.“

Poor service, which is why I selected 4 stars instead of 5. On NY Eve, 3 of us went to Ipps for lunch. Short hair, blonde waitress showed up 20 mins after our seating; did not greet us but said something like “what can I get you?” Then… we waited nearly an hour for our meal. Not sure if it was a server problem or a kitchen problem, but certainly put the kabosh on the festive NY Eve lunch. Oy vey!“

I ordered the Hunan Beef with fried rice, and it came with an egg roll and egg drop soup. The portion size was nice and big. I walked in and got my order within about 8 minutes of placing it.“

The service is quite efficient, but the seating capacity is limited. They only have a 2 or 3 tables outside. Which is not a big deal for most people, because they take it to go and enjoy their mexican food at their house where they can be messy anyway.“

It's a solid restaurant and bar, and I've known quite a few bartenders and servers there during the last five or so years. What really keeps it on my list, though, is Leigha behind the bar. Leigha makes a great Old Fashioned, but it's more than just the drinks. Leigha has a way of making the bar feel comfortable and familiar, like catching up with a neighbor rather than just ordering another round. The conversation is always easy, never forced, and it's one of the main reasons my friends and I choose Salt when we're deciding where to go downtown. We usually check to see if she's working before making plans. That says a lot. Downtown Woodstock has plenty of good spots, but Leigha is a big reason Salt continues to stand out for us.“

“Was on way to downtown woodstock to eat and decided to stop in here. 12 of us, 4pm on Saturday. They accommodated us quickly and food was delicious! Kids loved their meals as well. Service was great, very friendly and helpful with questions on menu! (Only note, they charge for extra ranch or bbq sauce for burgers)“

“Absolutely one of my favorite places to eat! Friendly, helpful staff and great food is a winning combo. It can get busy, making it hard to find seating but in warmer months there's patio space as well. Parking rules have changed recently but if you can find a spot, it's free for one hour which is all you need here unless you want to go multiple places.“

“Really enjoyed this place. I got the pho, sausage rolls, and Vietnamese iced coffee. The Pho was delicious, so much flavor. The portion size was massive. I ordered extra noodles and meat because that's what I do - for once I was unable to finish a meal. the standard size would've been perfect. “This being my first time at Izumi, I was very impressed. A co-worker suggested that I try them for lunch today. I ordered the Drunken Tiger, the Ocean Roll, and a hot tea. The service was fantastic, both the host and server were friendly and had welcoming smiles. I recieved my food in a timely manner and took the suggestions for dishes. They did NOT disappoint! Both of my dishes were delicious. The fish was fresh and the flavors were to die for. I asked for my check early; as I have a brief break. My server offered me some fresh tea to go as I left; which was very much appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I will be returning.“

“This my favorite Chinese food restaurant in the area. I have usually get my food to go. I usually get Ckicken Lo Mein and Pot Stickers/Dumplings(steamed). The food is excellent and always hot in tempature. I don't ever have to ask where is the meat for any of their dishes because there is always more then enough. I have nothing bad to say about Golden House.“
