“I ordered from China House last night , and it was great food. We haven't ordered take out Chinese in a long time and it was exactly what we were wanting. This was our first time ordering from here. I also have a shellfish allergy and I'm always worried when trying new places, especially if shrimp is on the menu. My stomach never hurt and everything was perfect. We will be ordering from them again.”

“We love American Pie. The food is delicious. We had a bad experience this evening for the first time. They had a new girl taking orders and she apparently never turned in our order. After 45 minutes we asked and the error was found. Mistakes happen, but the way they are handled goes a long way. They weren’t going to tell us what happened, I had to ask. The young lady never apologized even when the other girl working with her did. The manager was nice, but needs to be on top of situations like this to make it right. We weren’t looking for free food, but acknowledging the mistake and sincerely apologizing without having to ask for the manager twice would have been nice.”

“Always like stopping here when I have to go to the Pike County VA. Convenient location and the young lady who made my meal was very nice. The other lady was sweeping the floor while the place was full of people eating, she didnt smile and seemed a bit disgruntled maybe”

“When we got there they were only two gentlemen working they gave us great service and the food was great. While we were dining a young crew come in and the gentlemen left. One had hair down to her knees which I know is not within health code. They just stood around and loudly talked after we cleared our table we said y'all have a good day they looked at us like we were intruding on their conversation. So glad we got there before their shift started in the older gentlemen took care of us.”

“This was with a very unique grill with a nice little atmosphere that is different than most places. It is located at an active small airport. There's a lot of memorabilia to see. The food was excellent and the service was very good. I had the pimento cheese burger and it was delicious along with the sweet potato fries that everyone bragged about. The appetizer was fried pickles that everyone at our table enjoyed. This is a little out of the way, but it is definitely worth the trip.”

“Me and my sisters decided to eat here 6:00 on this Saturday and the service at first was great got our drinks waited for order to me taken that took forever but seeing other people come behind us being seated getting their drinks and after awhile their food and still no food for us then after the restaurant starts to clear out we received our food some guest says food was cold mine was warm I think we waited way to long to get food especially being seated before some guest”

“Let me start off by saying I am not one for Facebook or any media but at big Jim’s restaurant The food was great and service was great also. My family and I came up to eat Thursday 75 cent night they were understaffed, but they did a great job. But from my understanding they were very understaffed at the moment from what I heard they haven’t been busy like that in a Thursday night in weeks, which is understandable you put people where they are needed. Our server was amazing, but the owner had called and said some really rude things to her to make her cry, that is unacceptable, she did an amazing job and if we come back I hope to see here their again. Also when we were paying the amount of times the owner called to complain about something he saw on a camera instead of being there, you have a good staff, treat them like it. I was amazed by the staff and how they could work together under that situation when the constant calls from the boss. Yes it did get a little rough for a couple of minutes but I believe the kitchen and the servers did a fantastic job, including the Lady at the register. So I would like to say Thank you and y’all did a fantastic job tonight.”
