Known for huge quantity for great price for good variety of food that tastes good. A $14 combo plate is more than enough for at least 2 to share (except for some huge blahlas who come here for the grinds). What I want to expand on is the owner who runs the business (well, the kids now run the different locations) and how he cares about running the business, caring about providing good service to the community. (I personally knew him well). He hires young people from the community who needs work opportunity and pays them decently above minimum and benefits. He tries hard to provide quality products at fair prices, an exception to most restaurants now that have skimped on quality and quantity while raising prices (I won't name them but you know who they are - a big Z do come to mind though). I am saying go here not because the owner is a saint or anything like that. Go here because of good food at good prices by a LOCAL family who contributes to local success, how it should be.

Plate lunches are huge and lots of variety But always disappointed that the Manapua runs out before 11am lunch rush

The best place to go for very bad local Chinese food. The food is either too salty or too bland, too soft or too chewy. The staff is sometimes great and sometimes bad. Management needs to step up and work.on consistency among other things. This establishment has potential to be local favorite.

The 2 times we have gone, they were either out of steamed items or baked items. We did go late on the steamed items, but they had lots of buffet items.

Not sure what happened but I think the baked char siu manapua is a different recipe? The price is $2.65 same price but smaller & not as soft. Not to long ago the Chun Wa Kam baked manapua was bigger more fluffy sweet bread type bao with like a honey glaze & much bigger than what I bought today. I was a little disappointed as in my head I was looking forward to the manapua I remembered. The service is always fast & always friendly!

This is the first time ordering food since 2020. I received baked char siu manapua and pork hash. I ordered baked manapua and spicy pork hash. shrinkflation hit the manapua. small in size and bread was bordering dry at 9:00 am. After coming back from Oakland Chinatown no comparison in taste and size the the char siu bao.
