Haven’t eaten here in awhile so when I showed up I noticed inside filled with flies and pans of food left open, I did not physically see any flies land on the food due to many workers walking back and forth just thought they could have been more tentative.I order our food go in my car take 2 bites and there’s a roach in my Mac salad. Super disappointing that there doesn’t seem to be much care for food anymore here from my experience. Marched straight back and got my refund.

It was my first time, and I definitely will be back again and again my favorite spot from now on, for Hawaiian plate the food was great. The flavors took me back to my younger days when I ate at grandmas house. The price doesn’t even break your pocket I love it, the lady who took my order was very fast and efficient and great service. Next thing you know my name was called my order was ready fast service. I’m and out. Atmosphere was ok but this was a great find today! And the food taste so good will definitely recommend them. Go here if your hungry

We ordered Ige's Holiday Special package and everything worked out great from the ordering to the pick-up to the food quality. The issue was that the food package was meant for 10 to 15 diners and there were only four of us (no fault of Ige's). Everything was delicious! The Fried Chicken was almost a cross between mochiko and fried chicken and that Shoyu Pork is just divine! The Sushi leftovers were still moist after refrigeration and the Potato Macaroni Salad rivals any in the State. We finished everything after 3 days except the Andagi - I froze several to consume later. Even if future holidays still mean just 4 diners, I would order this again in a heartbeat!

For the past 2 years we have made our Thanksgiving and Christmas meals all with Ige's. So convenient - our guest always ask where did you get this from. Turkey with all the fixings Shoyu porkSpareribs Are all Winnahs!!Call in advance to make sure as they run out fast. We even get extra Shoyu pork for dinner choice on any given night.

If you're looking for local Kine grinds then this is the place for you. I came here on a Thursday and there was a long line, however it moved quickly. Super friendly service! Food is so yummy! They have daily specials that change weekly. Follow their Instagram or Facebook page for more details. Price point is reasonable for the portion size. Would highly recommend!

Local plate lunches with a Japanese/Okinawan flair hidden in an industrial park in back of Goodwill in Aiea. Daily specials that now are posted on ig and have a wide variety to choose from. Been coming here for over two decades and is still one of the best plate lunches when youre hungry. *Tip* Go early since some if the faves sell out quick... Snooze u lose. Ask for the pickled onions too. And get a side order of andagi or maki sushi also.... You're welcome?? Cash and credit card accepted.

Iges is great always good fast service and great food huge portions at great prices makes this hole-in-the-wall joints one of the best options in aiea. They known for their roast pork, shoyu pork, beef stew, and other plates. I mostly get the ‘ala carte’ option. I have my own rice at home I make good rice like “nishiki” or “tamaki gold”. I like their chicken/pork adobo and their spare ribs adobo is awesome no one else has those anywhere on island. Each day has a different special and main course from Tuesday-Fridays. The food was on point! Roast pork tender with good seasoning and the chicken was great too and not dry. Gravy was good with enough seasoning and not too salty and a good base. I recommend iges to all locals because this is the locals only spot where not everyone knows about it. You can't beat the cost/portion ratio from this place that's why it's still operating!

Lunch menu available Tuesday to Friday. Hours 930am to 1pm. Reasonable prices. Good portion. Catering menu is very reasonable. Recommend andagi, sushi, pickled onions. I've been stopping by when in the Aiea area. Highly recommend.

I really miss the Ige's in Halawa Valley because before they went to strictly catering, we frequented that restaurant often because we live within a mile from them. So, lately I've been wanting to get a plate from the Ige's on Hekaha Street. I've passed on this location before because there was always a line and we eat a later lunch so I thought a lot of menu items would run out. It just so happened that my wife and I were hungry and we were next to Ige's on Hekaha Street and there was no line. I ordered a mix plate of adobo turkey tails with tripe stew, my wife declined to order. That one plate was super heavy and when I opened it at home I saw that everything just barely fit in the clam shell. They don't offer mini plates and a plate here will put you to sleep. The turkey tails tasted good but was a little too soft for me, I like a little texture but the flavor was right on. The tripe stew was good, but if you really like tripe stew Ige's version was OK though they were generous with the tripe. I had at least 3 turkey tails on my plate and was pleased with the taste of both of my entrees. The rice portion of the plate was generous, as was the Mac salad. I love Mac salad but I didn't care for their's. It was flavorless and too watery for men so I only had one bite. They offer some delicious pickled onions free of charge if you want. The onion were delicious after I got home and rinsed the tripe stew off of it an refrigerated it. I will definitely return because Ige's serve old style plate lunch ay working man's prices, I had two meals from my plate and it costed me $13.50.

Old school flavor! The plates were so heavy! Usually each plate can be eaten 2-3 times for us. The chicken hekka was ono! So much turkey! Next tube I will ask for more gravy though heheh The gravy and homemade hamburger so ono! For me, the Mac salad is ok. I usually get toss salad. Anyways get couple andagi orders too!!

Earlier this week, I was yearning for Ige's Lunchwagon and Catering since I have heard of that place (and even when they were up on the hill on Kaahumanu St). But for this past Tuesday, I was definitely going there! Have seen their weekly specials and daily specials on their FaceBook posts and local YouTuber 'Authentically Charles' did a review of the place about a couple of years ago. I remember how much his facial expression changed when he tasted the bbq beef tip entree (he ordered a mixed plate and then another plate, the Korean Fried Chicken). Maybe this is why I chose as my first two plate lunches the BBQ Beef Tip and the other plate being the Korean Fried Chicken. So come Tuesday morning and I am all hyped up and decided I was going to call in the order since I wasn't sure 'how' busy the place was going to be just about after they open up for business at 9:30am.I called first at 9:05am on the 'chance' someone was going to pick up and either tell me to call back when they open or take my order then and there. No luck, line busy... tried about 5 minutes later ... line still busy... put my phone in my front right shorts pocket and went upon my morning... all of a sudden I hear a somewhat distant phone ring going and going... then find it was my phone ringing and saw caller id as 'Ige's..." so I picked up as I guess I must have 'butt-dialed' OR did they call me back? I dunno... but on the other end was this friendly female employee who answered my questions I had about pricing and when we can call in for orders... She said they will take phone orders as of 9am, so I was ready to hang up as I wanted to make sure my order for my brother was correct, but then I told her... I will put in the order now... it was about 9:20am.So the two plates I told her I wanted were (I ordered two plates as many on Yelp said the foods were ONO):1) bbq beef tip plate with brown rice and mac salad2) korean fried chicken plate with brown rice and toss saladI told her I wanted the 'pickled onions' (free for the asking). She asked if I wanted them separate in containers or was it ok to put them inside with the foods? I told her it was ok to just put it all together. How nice for that option!Oh yeah, I also ordered four half-rolls of maki sushi (verified if the cost showing on their website was correct as it was showing 4 pieces/half roll at $2, but she told me it had increased to $2.50) as I was ordering for both my brother and me. The Weekly Specials shown on their FB ads don't show what the costs were as their website too did not show the costs - only the daily specials pricing were shown. Since I don't live that far away, I told her if I could pick up at 9:40am, she said sure. End of conversation --- nice customer service I tell ya ! Got there (last unit on DH end of the ground floor of the building directly to one's left upon passing the unmanned security checkpoint booth) and easily found parking near the entry. So it's 9:42am (lol) and I reach the 'take-window as designated (for walk-ins, you have to enter the building) another employee (male) shouts my name (like he was expecting me!), but guess it was because I told them I was going to be there at 9:40am! Got home and opened up both plates and the roll of maki sushi to see for myself how they looked! Visually, they all looked so appetizing, but one plate stood head and shoulders over the other. I like how they packed the toss salad (half filled in a Glad sandwich bag of iceberg lettuce, purple cabbage and shredded carrots) with choice of prepackaged French or Ranch dressing packets. This gives more room inside of the container! No one has done this! For Tuesday lunch and dinner, I ate the Korean chicken ($13) with brown rice, forgot to eat the toss salad. Nothing to write home about.. 3 stars of 5 at most... looked like local style garlic chicken plate, but wasn't in taste. 'I' would not get this again. The maki sushi pieces were ONO tasting! I would put Waikane Store'

Great value for Asian style dishes done very poorly. If you require a caterer and don't care about your guests, this place is for you. The shoyu pork is very tasty if you enjoy syrup on your food. The sugary sauce was the only thing with any moisture. The dish was mostly dried and overcooked pork slices. If you love white pepper, the over spiced and over fried chicken was loaded with it. Clearly a place for sugar and white pepper lovers.
