Wonderful food and friendly people!
One of the coolest things about being a Chef is being able spot places like this that most people pass by. Hands down, one of the best meals I've eaten in a long time. It feels more like being invited to a family meal than it does a restaurant. This kind of thing is why I travel.
Kaaloa’s Super Js is as authentic Hawaiian as they come and delivers simple classic kalua pig and laulau. Prices are reasonable. The pork laulau is outstanding and melts in your mouth. It leaves you wanting another bite. Splurge for the guava cake. A true gem of a spot!
