This place has homey Thai food. They are located far from the downtown Honolulu strip so it is a drive to get to. But because of that, they don’t charge tourist pricing and offer a variety of delicious Thai dishes. Give them a try if you venture to the west side.

soooo good. their fried chicken with the sweet chili sauce is 100/10.. the portions are worth the price. My family got their fried chicken, beef salad & pineapple fried rice with beef. We got ours to go and everything was still fresh when we got home. Their fried chicken was so good that we went back for dinner to get it again & we can’t wait to try other dishes on their menu

Stumbled upon here by accident. The other restaurant we wanted to try was closed. I was really impressed with food quality and flavor. I wish I took photos! We ordered the spring rolls, stuffed chicken wings, pumpkin curry and rice. Total was $47, with tip $60. Still thinking about it! Would like to go back but little far for me! But do think it is worth it

I’ve been struggling to find decent Thai food on the islands and finally I found it. Standing tall above all the rest so far is Ono Thai. I was finally in the Ewa area which is not a part I frequently pass by but made a point to visit here and I’m glad I did. For any new Thai place I will keep the order simple because even if it’s not great it’s usually still edible. I got satey chicken app and Thai fried rice with shrimp, and a Thai iced tea. The satay was finally properly cooked. I can’t tell you how many other places fry this chicken rather than grill. Ono grills and provides 4 tender juicy seasoned skewers with peanut sauce and cucumber onion salad. The Thai fried rice I requested 4/5 and the heat was spot on. The rice was so perfectly cooked they obviously use high quality grain and care when preparing. Will make a stop in every chance I get.

I have ordered here more than 8 times, I always get the pad Thai with tofu and never have a problem. The staff handing my order are always kind and quick. A male always takes my order over the phone no problem and it’s made delicious. This last time they forgot the tofu no biggie.. I let them know this time I ordered. Upon picking up think she said her name was Lisa, man she was sooooo rude. Mad that I told her they forgot the peanut sauce, mad that I asked for chopsticks and my receipt just straight rude. Stanky attitude and when I told her hey you’re kinda being rude she smiles through her crusted teeth saying next time go to the Thai place down the street. Boy did that make me want to take my tip right back. Good food but the service from this stank tude lady RUINED this place :(

Only can give 4 stars because it’s not an entirely vegan restaurant. Would give 5 if possible! The Ono basil and tofu stir fry and pineapple coconut curry with tofu are 2 of our favorite dishes. The summer rolls with tofu are delicious with the peanut sauce. Highly recommend!
We found this place by random chance looking for restaurants in the Kapolei area. Food was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was flavorful and portions were just right. Dont let the humble decor stop you from coming here. This place is a solid 10/10 for food and service.

Best Thai on the Island—Consistently Perfect! Ono Thai is hands-down the best Thai food on the island. Lots of vegetarian options. And if you like (or love!) fried chicken, their fried chicken appetizer is incredible—crispy perfection in every bite. Their crispy fried chicken is golden, crunchy, and packed with flavor—absolutely a must-try. My personal favorite is the basil stir-fry. It’s fresh, perfectly balanced, and you can customize it with tofu, vegetables, chicken, pork, beef, or seafood. Every version is delicious, and the flavors are always on point. The pad Thai, green curry, and red curry are consistently perfect—rich, satisfying, and full of authentic flavor. The sticky rice is just right, and the seafood is always fresh and expertly prepared. The food always comes out piping hot delicious and at lightening speed. Ono Thai never misses on flavor. If you know, you know—this place is a local gem!

This is one of only two places that I currently would consider serves actual Thai food. We've been going here for years and never intend to stop. The food is absolutely amazing, they'll make it properly spicy when you ask, and so much of it is truly authentic and not poor imitations. It's really become pretty out of our way for where we live now, but we'll still drive out there because their food is absolutely worth it. Definitely worth noting though that they can sometimes get busy because of how good it is. Might not always look like it inside though because they're constantly doing take out orders. (We've never sat in there, but the few times we waited on our phone orders, we've enjoyed the atmosphere in there.)

They get one star because I cannot put zero stars. I ordered through a delivery service and the food was prepared incorrectly. I specified no mushrooms and both items have mushrooms. I cannot eat my dinner. Now I have to order from someplace else because I don't have a car. Zero Stars, will never use this restaurant again

I kept forgetting about coming to this restaurant but I finally did. I did a takeout and only ordered the yellow curry with chicken to eat with the white rice I already had at home. At home I poured half of it over my rice. The flavors were mild yet very exciting on the palate. No heat because I don't like blowing my nose over my meal. Lots of potatoes and carrots. Beautiful yellow color. It was all so very good and tasty. So now I love two Thai dishes. Pad Thai and yellow curry. Also, while I was waiting for my takeout, I observed that the restaurant was nice and clean, the service was quick, and the people were all smiles. One day I'll come and have a sit-down meal.
