Stopped by Ewa Beach Shiro’s and got a Maki roll for my lunch. Paid about $8. When I opened the wrapper, I couldn’t believe what I saw, 85% rice and 15% filling. After work I went back to Shiro’s and asked if they made a mistake making the roll and one of the workers said no, that is how they make them now and also mentioned that restaurant is getting stingy with the food. I been eating here for over 20 years but will sadly chose to eat elsewhere with better value.

This was shiros ewa beach. We ordered hamburger steak, bento B , and a small saimen. The only food that was good was the saimen. The chicken katsu in the bento was awful. The food is not the same like pearl city. Buy the staff our server was there from when it was barney's and we talked about the good old days. Service was amazing by this particular server but the food wasn't that great.

Shiros is a gem, employing some of the kindest aunties hosting the 10-15 tables. The dinning area is quite big compared to its Waimalu location. Sometimes food may take some time but the Saimin reminds me of a homecooked meal.

I get either the double Teri burgah (burger) or the saimin with every garnish in it (forgot the name!!!). It's one of the few places that I can just sit down and relax.

They must have recently updated the furniture inside because the tables close to the windows have these simplistic benches now.

Shiro's Ewa Beach has the best local plate lunches on Island im serious. Everything we've ordered was ONO (DELICIOUS). My family and I have eaten there since 2012 so yes we've tried more than half the menu. The quality is excellent they even use Angus beef for the burgers. Nothing is commercially made it's real home cooking and the ingredients. The quantity is a lot too, they don't cut back like most places today. Everything is so clean, too. I miss the jukebox with oldies, though. The best thing about Ewa Beach Shiros are the Aunties it's like the good old days so much love and Aloha, old Hawai'i kine ways. They work so hard and are always busy so I hope people understand quality can't be rushed. I love Shiro's Ewa Beach it's the best place on island so Ono the food that's why. BIG MAHALO

We ordered 4 hamburgers and waited for at least 20 minutes. We should've checked it before we left. We got all the way home for lunch with our guests only to find every hamburger was burnt and overcooked. I was so embarassed to feed it to my guests that I dumped them. The burgers ain't cheap either. We retrieved one of the hamburgers and the receipt and called the manager and told her our hamburgers looked cremated. She was deeply sorry and offered replacement burgers. Next time we will CHECK our food before leaving! When she gave my husband the replacement hamburgers, she told him "that's how we cook our hamburgers here (the burnt ones) because it's homemade." Gosh, I'd hate to eat at her house if she calls it homemade! Triple Yikes!
