Slightly on the expensive side but definitely worth it. We had the gyoza, shashito peppers and ceviche for apps followed by the rolls that I forget. Definitely recommend

Some much to say about this place. High quality sushi is the most important. The service was great. The staff is quick and attentive. We choose to eat at the traditional sit down Japanese seating and it was a great experience. I can't rave enough about the qauilty of the sushi. I would rate this place higher if possible they are doing everything right. Don't miss a chance to eat here!

Normally, phenomenal food and service. Went this evening and service was subpar (seated in the back corner by the bathroom). Got the volcano, 2 crispy ahi, and gyoza. Volcano was almost inedible. Couldn't even finish it. Gyoza was Luke warm and ahi roll was very bland. Disappointing for a normally good experience. Not worth the $100.

Favorite place to eat dinner in North Shore! Food and service are always consistently great, love the atmosphere too.

Everything I needed and wanted from a sushi restaurant after a beach day in a surf town. The laidback vibe was on point, the beer was cold, the sake flowed, and the fish was fresh.

This place has a cool patio, and the cooked food was great, but the sushi was only ok and fairly expensive.

Good food and services normally it's either one or the other but both were good, to add the drinks were great as well

Banzai was delicious, the food and service were great! You get to choose whether you sit on the floor (traditional Japanese style) or at a regular table. All seating is outside, so be mindful of that, and I would recommend you get there when they open as the tables do fill up rather quickly.

Very cool place. Sit on the floor and eat or at a table. We choose floor. We loved the food and the atmosphere. Thanks for a great experience.

My favorite restaurant on the North Shore, but they inexplicably stopped serving my favorite dish - the ahi carpaccio which is why I dropped the review down to 3 stars. Wait staff are top notch and the chef is excellent, just hoping they bring it back so I don't have to go elsewhere. My spouse is gluten free and appreciates that they work with her to adjust dishes. She would love a gluten free spicy tuna to a added as an option. They also have an epic sake selection that is the best we have seen on O'ahu.

We had reservations for a party of 8 on a Wednesday night. We had to wait for 80 minutes to be seated. When we finally got seated the server took our order. A very nice Asian lady. We ordered a few appetizers (ceviche and a spinach dish) and a few cocktails which all came in a timely manner. The bad thing was one person in our party ordered a sashimi roll. This plate (which did not even need to be cooked) came out an hour after everyone else had been served! The server apologized saying the delay was due to a lot of orders at the same time for sashimi! This is really unacceptable! They should have offered to bring her complimentary dish so she wouldn't be sitting waiting while everyone ate. We all shared something from our plates but our guest insisted on waiting saying her food would hopefully arrive soon. What the heck!!! Sashimi isn't even cooked!!!!and it finally arrives an hour later after the rest of us are finished and now being served dessert! They must have had to fly to Japan to get the fish! Oh wait this is Oahu Hawaii, they must have had to take the boat out and catch it !!! Shame on you Bonzai Sushi for not removing the charge for the sashimi and apologizing for ruining my guest's dining experience! Bringing someone's entree out after serving dessert to the others is the poorest service a restaurant can do! Beware of Bonzai Sushi in Haleiwa!
