It’s expensive food truck food, but not as good as food truck Asian food. If I could visit again I would have a cocktail in the garden and eat somewhere else.

The experience was meh. So we came when it was raining and they sat us right by the edge and just put the sun blinds down. However, that made it so you can't see what you're eating since all they had were tiny candles for lighting. Not only that, the blinds only partially stopped the rain so you can still feel it. It stopped raining at the end of the meal and they put it up.

The food, since I couldn't see it, presentation is a big 0. The food itself, the chicken was probably the best out of the 3 (pork belly, ahi or chicken). Had plenty of seasoning but not overwhelming. The other 2 was just okay.

Now here is the ultimate sin, the rice was undercooked. Like it wasn't hard to where you couldn't eat it or it sticks in your teeth but when you bite into it, you can feel that something is off. Including Ama, in all my life on these islands, there has been only 2 restaurants that failed to cook rice properly.

My family went last night and we tried all of the ramen dishes between us, none of them had any flavor. The veggie ramen just tasted like spicy water. Although the service was great and the patio is beautiful, the food was unacceptable for the price.

if you’re looking authentic asian food, i’d recommend spending your money elsewhere. i’m disappointed.

pros: lovely scenery and seating. sweet outside area with fire pits and lights.

cons and suggestions: majority white people at an asian restaurant = food is not good. i was hoping i would be wrong but the broth lacked depth for what the price point is. the wooden utensils were quite old and unappetizing to eat off of. perhaps switching from wooden to metal soup spoons if ceramic ones would be too fragile to mass clean.

Paid over $100 for a meal for two and got food poisoning. Couldn't go to the tour we scheduled the following morning and lost out on another few hundred dollars. Absolutely horrendous night and morning.

The view is absolutely stunning - definitely a 10/10. The service was great. The staff was friendly and gave helpful recommendations about the food. As for the food itself, it was decent but not exceptional. I had a poke bowl - the fish was fresh, but I’ve had better. The same goes for the ramen: well-presented, but the flavor didn’t stand out. Overall, a nice experience, especially for the atmosphere, but the food could be more impressive.

We absolutely loved the bao rolls and the Brussel sprouts. They were accommodating and made one of my kids noodles with only broth. I hade a limeade and my wife a
Cocktail that were both very good. The ramen was lack luster. I’m not sure I’m very well versed in ramen. I only have store bought packs to compare it with.

Dietary restrictions: They have a gluten free noodle option.

It’s just okay. The service is good. It’s very expensive (par for the Kauai course). The flavors are weak and lean towards confused cosmopolitan. The portion size is smallish. Drinks are just okay. It seems popular with retirees. If you really want to go then definitely make a reservation, this place is inexplicably popular.

The restaurant definitely has some of the best views!! Love that the place is outdoor based, the food was ok for the price. The service was good and attentive but still giving us our space. Would go back just have a great cocktail and sit outside to take in the breathtaking mountains!

The view from the restaurant is undeniably stunning and was arguably AMA’s only redeeming quality. Unfortunately, the food failed to live up to even moderate expectations. Out of the several dishes my party of six tried, only the green curry ramen was passable; the rest were lackluster and unimpressive.

The most troubling part of our visit, however, was the appalling behavior of the hostess. Not only was she rude and dismissive, but she also laughed at us when we attempted to explain the need for a seating adjustment to accommodate a member of our party with a disability. Her reaction was not only unprofessional but deeply insensitive and disrespectful. Worse yet, her outright refusal to assist or consider alternatives seemed to disregard basic decency and potentially violated the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which mandates that businesses provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.

While we understand the challenges of managing seating in a busy restaurant, the hostess made no effort to help and instead belittled our concerns. This treatment stood in stark contrast to the rest of the staff, who were kind and attentive. Unfortunately, the hostess’s shocking behavior overshadowed their efforts, leaving us deeply disappointed and unlikely to return.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the ramen, but the place is cute. It’s a bit pricey though.

They will offer to make their ramen dishes vegan. We ordered the Oyakodon Ramen and they left out the animal products and used a vegan broth. We also ordered the Green Curry Vegetable Ramen (without the egg) and Green Curry Donburi. The Green Curry is medium spicy so avoid if you cannot tolerate spicy food. The fried tofu was served blackened and it was quite tough. The portion size for the Donburi was small for $25. The service was good and the views were amazing.

The hostess is mean. Wouldn’t go for the
service that’s for sure.

The Bao Buns are off the hook, and I had a few bites of the Chicken Ramon which was good but we wanted the beef but they were out. The service was just ok, could have been better.....the atmosphere was good as the view is incredible and the building is pretty cool!
