This place is worth the hype! Difficult to make reservations, so he sure to do them as early as possible, opt for the wait-list if you can't get an immediate reservation; it works.

Bar Acuda has mazing food and great service. It's one of our favorite spots and we return any time we can!

I have to say that this review of Bar Acuda is not good. I went on line 30 days prior to my desired time at 6:15 am EST ( 1:15 am HST) My response on line was "got it". I did not see a response that said this time was not available. Now I could have made a mistake in the process. I waited for a confirmation like I have received from over 10 restaurants that I have made during my 2 week trip to Maui and Kauai this March/April. ( make up trip because of the fire in Lahaina last year) As I said I may have made a mistake. The problem there is no way to confirm if I have a reservation. They do not answer phone calls, text message or emails. This kind of Customer Service is not acceptable. Disappointed & Frustrated Doug Moulton

Food is very small portions and the ono is pan seared and chilled so it is served cold.Ordered a drink with mint in it that was just thrown in there and not crushed and the whole balance was off. This is a definite hipster place and don’t recommend going unless you get a group that enjoys trying samples of new things other than your average bar food. We tried it once but won’t be back.Service- the hostess proceeded to text when we arrived and other customers were rude. They don’t seem to care if your food tastes terrible and you only eat half of what you ordered.

Food is awesome. Great Service. Not cool to have customers to pay % added to bill for money towards employees health care fund. We pay our own health care

Love this place! The food is incredible - everything is delicious. Great flavor combinations. The service is always impeccable!! Hard to get a reservation but it's like striking gold when you do!

By far the best food we had on the island but also super hard to get a reso and very pricy. Our two favorite dishes were the cucumber salad and the sea scallops. Those are a must have. Service was great and the drinks were well made. Would go back when visiting the north shore and want something upscale.

Overrated. Too expensive for what you get.

Amazing food. We ordered 8 plates to share between four people, and that was plenty. You should start at the top of the menu and work your way down. The mocktails and cocktails were excellent.

The food so good, the atmosphere, and the drinks were sooo good I forgot to take pictures. (that's how good it is) It's $$$... BUT DO NOT let that stop you. Avoid the $$$ at "The Dolphin" down the street and come to Bar Acuda. That's where your money should be spent vs the over-hyped sushi you'll get at The Dolphin. Bar Acuda is a culinary masterpiece, excellent cuisine and fine dining (while wearing shorts) on a small island! Small, shareable dishes. It's a Hawaiian take on traditional tapas. Great bar menu and a beautiful atmosphere. A must-stop destination for sure. Note: MAKE RESERVATIONS before you get to Hawaii! (they take them 30 days in advance)

Had a wonderful time at the spot. We didn’t make reservations far ahead so we just sat at the bar. This proved to be a plus as the bartenders were very friendly and fun to talk to. The drinks were very well made, we tried the Pirate Punch and the Bee Keeper this time.We ordered the cucumber salad, lamb riblettes, olives, mahi mahi, and the scallops. Everything was excellent, but the scallops really stood out - they were fresh, well grilled, and the garlic topper provided a very interesting touch. We finished with the Lilikoi Cheesecake, which was top notch as well.
