Pleasure finding MCS Grill, having some grilled Mahi sandwiches (good portion filets), harvest salad w/ chicken and strawberry vinaigrette, grilled cheese, caesar salad, and onion rings - all strong portions and quality! We don't usually get dessert but felt like we'd be pleased if we did, so had the brownie sundae and root beer float -- Mindy & team were wonderful, thank you MCS 👍🙏😎 *Fyi parking was good at 'Hanapepe Place' lot by the Kauai Cookie and Salty Wahine's, MCS Grill full restaurant and bar is along the roadside (sort of behind of this other businesses along the parkway) - sorry yes no bar just a 'place to sit bar,' I meant :)

MCS is a great hidden gem. The food had great flavors and the meats were perfectly cooked. The pork belly special was perfectly seasoned. The mahi mahi sandwich was crispy and fresh. And the crispy chicken was super juicy. Bonus: the lilikoi chiffon cheesecake was an enormous portion

The service and staff there is amazing! Mindy and I became friends after my several lunch visits. I would tell her to surprise me, in other words pick something I would eat, since I came there a lot.
They have a good amount of vegetarian options! I tried all of them!
If you’re looking for something heavy on a cloudy day get the Vegetarian Loco Moco with gray! Don’t forget their Mac salad and desserts!

We had the Steamed White Clam for an appetizer. For entrees, I had the Kauai Shrimp Scampi and the wife had the steak special. Can't recall the dish name as it wasn't on the menu. All 3 dishes were amazing especially compared to the restaurants at the resort. The only bad thing was we tried to go back on a Saturday but according to the listed hours on Google they're closed on weekends.
Great choice if you're tired of fish and rice!
