While there is nothing necessarily negative about Coconut Joes there’s nothing that make it outstanding either. Home to açaí bowls, smoothies, and shave ice this “blink and you’ll miss it”stand sits right next to a convenient store and tattoo parlor.
What makes Coconut Joes stand out from a shave ice aspect is the size of the shave ice bowl which was huge. I also saw customers order a smoothie a fresh Hawaiian Fruit plate and I mean FRESH!
The down sides were in the ice cream that felt carton bought and was mostly melted when I got to it. A bit pricey at $12 for a large but you DO get a lot.
Lastly the lady working it seemed upset to be working and maybe she was on New Years Eve? She also worked at a snails pace. I recognize and understand Island Time but this seemed like an intentional strike.
At the End of the Day if you’re touring the north shore or need a shave ice fix this place does the trick and is worth the stop. It was excellent shave ice but didn’t separate itself from others either.

Our smoothies were made by Joe himself! Extremely fresh ingredients and good prices! Delicious smoothies and great vibes all around! Would definitely recommend! ?? ??️
