Keneke's Grill in Punaluu is an adorable, unpretentious local eatery with an island country charm. It's a local favorite sincethe 1980s. Many locals are familiar with Keneke's in Waimanalo, and so the Punaluu restaurant is one in the same. We enjoyed the relaxed wholesome atmosphere , the delicious food, and the wonderful service from our server Fish (honestly, that's his name). We ordered the Delux cheeseburger special and the Big Red plate special with a side of large garlic fries ??? Yummy ?Their food servings are really generous. A choice place for local plate lunches and more.

Ate here yesterday. VERY dirty interior. We ordered 3 bacon cheeseburgers, 3 fries, pig and BBQ chicken with rice. The chicken was the only thing that tasted even close to good. Burgers were dry, bland. Bacon didn't taste like bacon at all. Honestly it was gross. Do not recommend.

Cheap but tasty food. Large portions and free refill. Beautiful garden and terrace. The restaurant area is simply furnished. You can immediately pick up your Bible knowledge while eating.

Overall, terrible experience. The service was unimaginably slow. Right off the cusp, they were out of one of the four main side options, by the time we left, they were out of another side option as well. After over an hour wait, our food arrived, mediocre at best. The meat was good, the mac salad was flavorless, and the fries were frozen previously, 100%, the rice was plain as well. The only thing more plentiful than the food portions were the flies, as soon as our meals arrived, flies swarmed us for the entirety of the eating portion of our outing, which was significantly shorter than the waiting portion. At no fault of their own, there appeared to be two total workers, one cook and one waitress. Additionally, the place was filthy, hope we don’t end up with diarrhea. I do not recommend, a waste of time, and food. The only terrible time we’ve had in hawaii so far, might I add.

Portions were large, but not tasty. The restaurant was very dirty - I drug my finger along the table and it made a white line! The back door was open and two cats walked in.

Food was good. Portions were large. I personally enjoyed the atmosphere and farm company in the outdoor dining area in back.

I absolutely look forward to patronizing this restaurant every time I am on the island. The food is consistently delicious with generous portions and priced fairly. Mahalo!!

This place was fantastic. It knows that it is a farm, and it embraces that fact. The views of the mountain from the outside eating area are incredible. It is REAL, this aint the polished DISNEY type experience, this is a real old-school greasy roadside experience and I would happily go back.

It's a good place for locals or for those who don't mind the messiness. The building does need a little updating and upkeeping. But if you only care for the food, then this place is great. They do have a mini farm out in the back that your family can enjoy.

Found ants in my soda. The place isn't clean, the food isn't worth it. Stay away.

Sorry Keneke's has been taken off my fav's list. Ordered 2 Katsu plates, one pig & one mix adobo & burger one mix katsu & coconut shrimp to go. Just short of $95. + $20 tip
Unfortunately, all katsu & shrimp were overcooked. The katsu was tough to the point that it was bone hard in places & not one Kautsu plate had katsu sause included in it.
Shrimp were rubber.
We gave the service 4 stars cause the poor girl workin the counter @ dinner time was also the person there and likely the cook too based on the food quality. Mac salad Ono, Pig, juice and good adobo, ... Adobe burgers dry, thank God for gravy.
