“Jasmine and her Heartbeet Catering team at Pu'uwai Gardens were outstanding. They acted as hosts for our wedding reception and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The food and venue were both incredible. Their team kept us on track throughout the night and acted as pseudo- day of planners. The team was incredibly responsive and patient with us as we made decisions about food, timing, and other vendors. They provided advice and answered all questions we had to help us create the perfect experience for us for our intimate wedding. We appreciated that everything could be handled in house by the Heartbeet/Pu'uwai team. They handled the bartending, cake cutting, servers, cleanup, and joined in some of the dancing! Plus, the food was INCREDIBLE. We had two kids, under 10, who can be picky, but they ate everything on offer! A true testament to delicious options that were curated for our event. We opted for family style, for our small group, and an extra protein because we couldn't decide on just one! The family style serving option helped us all feel at home, we loved it. Pu'uwai Gardens held a beautiful backdrop for the evening, including the covered area for eating and dancing, that included cute lighting, and the build in covered bar- stunning. The land and tress were also beautiful, as was the view of the water. The Heartbeet/Pu'uwai team overdelivered for our day and we are so grateful to have chosen them to host our reception.“

“We stopped by the booth at the Friday night market in Hilo. We tried the pecan sandies cookies, the decadent chocolate cupcakes, the Mexican brownies and the carrot cake cupcakes and omg they were all delicious! More than ample sizes for the price as well. I’ve found a great place for my sweet cravings!“

“They were extra accommodating to my weird dietary restrictions. The food was great! The presentations with plates and bowels they had the food in was very nice too. Will definitely come back.“

“Had lunch here 2/3 days that we were in Hilo, everything was amazing. The Misoyaki Butterfish Salad was fresh and extremely flavorful without being heavy, and the fish melts like butter in your mouth. We also had a cold water scallop special, an eggplant /marinara/pesto/ricotta appetizer (forgot what it's called, oops!) and crab cakes. Everything was great, honestly one of the best places I've eaten at on the entire island. I like to sit at the bar, as I'm a former long time bartender. Sascha is one of the best around, cocktails were, again, among the best that I found on the island, including Kona. Service was top notch, no matter how busy he got, and he took extra time to modify one of the house cocktails so that an elderly gal with sensitive teeth sitting nearby could enjoy it. I would honestly make the drive from Waikoloa just for this, but Hilo has plenty of outdoor activities to offer as well.“

“Visited this cute little Thai spot in Hilo, Hawaii about a week ago.
Food: I eat a lot of Thai food, and I will say right away that the flavor of the food here is unique.
For our appetizer, we got the Thai Spring Rolls. They were very fresh and it is a decently large portion size. I ordered the Pad See Ui and it was nothing like any other Pad See Ui I've ever had, but it was delicious! The dish also tasted very clean- not super oily. My boyfriend got the Pad Thai and cleaned his plate. I'm not usually a Pad Thai fan, but I even had a bite and enjoyed it :). Portion sizes for entrées are generous.
I also ordered a Thai Tea and it was perfect. My boyfriend got the Thai Coffee and it was strong and yummy!
Service: Our server was very sweet. I think that it was hard for her to understand us at times, but regardless, we had a great experience.
Atmosphere: Very cute, cozy, comfortable interior. Seems to be a locally known place. We saw people coming in and chatting with one of the employees so it seems that they knew each other. I really enjoyed dining here.
TLDR: Cute place, good food, and good service! Would love to come back here next time I'm in Hilo.“

“This cute little shack is a Hawaiian classic near akaka falls. Nice menu with shakes, smoothies, wraps etc all using fresh local ingredients, many from their own farm. There's a small selection of clothing and hats and several picnic tables to enjoy your meal don't forget to look behind the shack for a couple more private picnic tables on the grass“
