Spent a week in Hilo since 2019. I was familiar with Hilo town and all the tourist spots and decided to hangout with the locals and found the Hale Inu sports bar is more special than the other local bars it’s more like the Cheers sitcom where “everyone knows your name” I walked in as a stranger and left feeling belonging. We’ve lived here for over a year and never knew this place existed til now! Came in on a Saturday night and there were a handful of people. The vibes were great. Awesome music, amazing food (came out super hot!), and the people are kind.
