After spending some time at Lyman Museum, we desired lunch and a Yelp search led us to Hilo Town Tavern. Walking through the entrance we were greeted by a server who also doubled as a bartender. We proceeded to order the following: Mai Tai’s, Jamaican Jerk seasoned chicken tenders (wife) and the Lava burger (me)…both orders with the hand cut tavern fries. Since the restaurant was fairly empty, our orders came out fairly quickly.

Incredible bar, definitely reccomend the loco moco it's a mountain of tater tots covered in bacon, onion, 2 smash burger patties, a fried egg, and all smothered in gravy. Definitely not for the faint hearted!

This bar was sweet. Chill vibes. Probably the best wings ? in all of Hilo. I'd recommend for anyone looking for a casual spot to grab a drink ?. And they got 2 ? tables in the back. Yahoo!!
