If youre staying at the Hilton, dont pass up the opportunity to enjoy the many offerings here. Open air windows and pleasant music greet you in the am for strong complimentary coffee and breakfast offerings. Try the spam musubi, especially if you have that resort credit. Evenings great local Hawaiian music and hula dancers entertain you while you enjoy their special island breeze cocktail. Our party of 4 finally decided to just eat dinner there on a Friday night .. place was packed, but food came out pretty quick. We were all surprised how good it was (Im sober so can't blame that). Prices reasonable service friendly. Margherita flat bread, Kailua pork w cabbage and the pulled pork were scarfed quickly. Entertainment was fabulous on Friday. I recommend this place for casual meal and drinks.

Scott stands out as the best bartender here. He is very friendly and welcoming. Love the keiki juices especially the pineapple. For breakfast, I prefer the rice bowl and musubi.

If you're head downstairs to the the restaurant and bar:Along with the mediocre "meh" cafeteria quality food, the evening staff doesn't get your order correct, forgets the items you ordered, doesn't ever check when you want something else, there is always a "Oh I forgot" every time I stay here for work trips. You have to ask for salt and pepper and when it finally shows up it paper packets, ketchup comes in a thimble and it takes forever to get more. Its a lot like sitting at the keiki table. I wonder if they will ever treat people as adults. They certainly have big time restaurant prices. There are other Hilo restaurants that have the same or lower prices that treat the customers like family and the food is awesome. When Abraham was behind the bar I was always treated like a king, but they just don't do it for me anymore. The views and feel or the restaurant and bar are the wonderful, it's sad the food and service don't reflect that.

It will be wonderful with some local draft beers. This is the only restaurant opens for travelers until very late. Dictatorship of Astronomy has a limited power here.

Patio area was nice and well used. Had coffee ☕️ and drinks ? in the evenings. View is very nice with water and Mauna Kea. Didn't have any food; however, what others ordered looked good.

Great view, no windows open and looking out over water. Fire place, good mini pizza appetizer. Lots of free parking.

Live music that will keep you guessing what song will be next (you won't be able to). Went from Chris Stapleton to Hawaiian music with two ladies performing a hula dance followed by Eric Clapton. The sides are open so you'll hear it from your room on the top floor facing the bar.Food is not the greatest and the service is what you'd expect for a bar (slower as few worker and many to wait on and the food takes awhile).Overall lots of seating, with some outdoor but if it rains it'll have you wishing you sat inside. There are also several televisions to watch the game.

Unhappy that the only thing my husband & I could eat to cater to our diet (gluten & dairy free) was apparently not an option. The process of working with our sever took a long time before we knew what was safe to order. Ended up ordering what we didn't really want or pay for but settled considering we didn't have reservations else where. Restaurants should include more options for those with specific diets or at least keep the option open to order regardless what special occasion it is.

They do have "live music" between the main dinning room and bar...right in the middle and it is way too loud. Sorry, I like live music but when it is overbearing it kills the atmosphere. Our service was compromised by the noise because our poor server just couldn't hear us.
