Beware about the loyalty program!! It seems like a scam! Over the last year I've spend over 100$ every visit. I was building up points and on one of my previous visits in January, I was told I received my 33 points needed to receive $10 off.I actually had earned 38 points.They told me it never expires.
I live over an hour and a 1/2 away.So I don't visit all the time. When I came back today in March.I was told that the $10 was no longer available. Due to the loyalty program going up from thirty three points to fifty five. The young lady said it was the policy and could not change it. After that I mentioned to the young lady working the register that I was confused because I was told they never expire. And if I had earned 10 dollars then I should be able to use it since it never expires. Her response was unkind and a bit nasty, with dirty looks. Saying it's the owners rule not mine. It was such an incredibly rude tone and look ,that I decided to return my order. I took the time to tell her exactly why I was returning my order.. Asked for the owners contact and her name, I told her that I was going to contact the owner regarding the 10$ credit and not going to mention the young girls unfavorable response. But that I wanted to be honest with her directly about her responses to me, and I said it with kindness and honesty, I even thanked her for listening before leaving. She asked me what is was exactly that she had done and admitted to me that she was frustrated with my questions. I thought is was a productive conversation and that there were no hard feelings. THEN I read my return reciet and this is what was written to me..(posted in the pictures section... and at the end of this post labeled with asterisks***) I was shocked because I have not yet spoken with the owner. I'm all about love, kindness, and gratatude and it didn't begin in 2025 😄I was just born that way. 💓So to whom ever wrote me on my reciet no worries.. SO JUICY HAWAII right around the corner from you is happy to have my business, and a bonus: they have all the ingredients posted on the bottles as required by the health department! :)
I 100% recommend So Juicy Hawaii made in Hawaii by Hawaiians! Organic too.

The açaí bowl was wonderful. We had the açaí/blueberry base & the tropical base. It was not too sweet and filling. It was a perfect way to start the day and so refreshing on a hot, humid day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely a must try when in Hilo.

The Live Green smoothie was quite good but the açaí bowl was not good. The acai blend tasted like it had apple juice mixed in.
Stumbled into Loved by the Sun by chance and we're so glad we did! Loved that you could use any smoothie base as your Acai bowl - it gave us so many flavour options. No formal seating inside other than benches so be prepared to take it on the go! We did the Tropical and Monkey Fuel as bases with the Super Cosmic toppings. Delicious!

Amazing juices and smoothies. Plenty of variety. Hawaiian traditional drinks like Awa and Makaki tea. If you are local, the juice subscription plan is a great deal, but record keeping method is not the best, so keep your own record of how many juices you took and double check your count with their record every time you get a juice. They will be fair if there is a discrepancy, which I appreciate.
