The food was delicious and the service was excellent . I believe our lovely waitress name was "Nail". I apologize if not correct spelling. She was very friendly and polite. The food also came so quickly, much appreciated for great food and service.
I have always loved Luquin's restaurant. The original Pahoa location was stellar, sadly burned down. They relocated, in Pahoa, and the new location is still quality restaurant. We visited the newer HIlo locations a few months back. Everything was fine until our last visit June 23rd 2025. I decided to try something different, I ordered the beef nachos. No Cheese Dip! No Keiki menu! No ground beef for tacos! What!??? Chips and salsa are nothing special, no taste really. Prices are high especially for mediocre Mexican. Atmosphere nothing special. Cheap to go containers.
