I find it really frustrating when businesses don’t allow customers to use the restroom. Everyone has to use the restroom, and being told 'no' when you really need to go is not only uncomfortable but feels incredibly inconsiderate. It’s hard to justify spending money at a place that doesn’t provide basic amenities for its customers. A little understanding and compassion in these situations would go a long way.

Wow. I try to support local but honestly, you all move way to slow for me. My family showed up Sunday morning looking to try something different other than our usual stops like Starbucks, Crusn Coffee, Puna Chocolate or Sippn Siren.. Yall opened up at 9:00am which was insane (other places have already been open for hours)... I showed up at 8:50am not checking the hours assuming a coffee cafe would be open by then... I was nice enough to wait the 10 mins for yall to open but it didn't happen till 9:03am... 3 minutes late... I got places to be... Ordered two waffle breakfast sandwiches and two cups of coffee and we didn't get it till almost 9:45am, cost us over $50 and took nearly 45mins to make.. Sorry but as a local I'm never going back again. Way to over priced and the service took wayyy to long, I got no problems spending the money, but a 45mins wait is ridiculous. The coffee tasted like pure water... All other customers (tourist's) were just as frustrated with the wait times... I would rather go to Mcdonald's after that experience... Best of luck at that speed. ALOHA.

This is seriously the best place on Hilo to hang out, shop, check out artwork, eat amazing food, check yo energy, and drink quality drinks ! Locally made syrups, literally the best shop we went to in Hilo. Thank you, Tasha! I had a lemonade, and my husband had an elixir! 1000/10 recommend 👌

This is basically a wook shop with coffee. If that’s your vibe you’ll love it. The coffee was pretty good. It’s not the best on the island but I’m not disappointed by the coffee. My dissatisfaction is in lack of a customer restroom. I get it, nobody in that part of town wants the unhoused bothering them to use a restroom. But if I’m paying $20+ for 2 drinks I’d like to wash my hands and use a toilet, especially when I have gut issues that necessitates a restroom on short notice. We had to walk all the way to the farmers market to go.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would . I heard this place was bad but i didn’t realize how bad it actually was. I came in wanting to get a scoop of ice cream I asked the employee for a sample and was told in order to get a sample of ice cream I would have to make a purchase which seems a like backwards to me. this was my first time there I was so excited to only be let down and leave empty handed. It’s not a very welcoming and would not recommend to anybody.
Great coffee and customer service, staff very engaged, would definitely come back.

Lucky mainlander finds hidden gem in Hilo.
Nector was a wholesome hole in the wall cafe with the works. Nestled in the back of a local art shop you can find a pop of good vibrations with a rainbow wall of elixirs. “Real magic takes time” and I’m a believer. I went with the tried and true chicken and waffles. My wife got the Lilikoi (passion fruit) waffles. BOTH were the best bubble waffles I’ve had. One for savory, the other sweet. It is a tight space with limited seating, but with only locals stopping in the wait was manageable. I definitely recommend a Dragonfly Lemonade or a “Sacred” Mocha made with real Cocoa. I didn’t have a chance to try a smoothie or ice cream on the visit, but I’ll be back for sure. The staff were so sweet and honestly a highlight of the whole trip. 12/10 a must stop for Hilo!
Parking: There wasn’t a lot of competition for spots, but in a Tuesday it was still a little while to find an open spot on the free street parking.
Kid-friendliness: Limited dining space means it’s a quick in and out for ice cream or lemonade.

This is a must stop for top of the line gifts, great smoothies, and food like a BLT bubble wrap, which is out of this world ?
