Starbucks has really gone downhill. They used to take care of their employees and the service reflected it. I dispise forced corporate friendliness. You can't mandate an employee love their job and punish them if they don't. Give your dollars to Crusin Coffee, their people look like they are actually having fun

I live off grid, like to get out to work, and I basically made this location my office/living room for a few months. I love the location for the people watching and it was super endearing when the staff remembered my order and name. I've been hanging out in Starbucks all over since my girlfriend in highschool was a barista, and this Starbucks has the nicest view of the Pacific and staff I've found.

You guys are the worst Starbucks on Hilo side, every time I’ve come and asked for ribbon crunch topping, you charge me and never put it in the drink. Every single time my orders wrong and the baristas are always sassy!!

Stop taking orders in the parking lot in the pouring rain. I don’t want to roll down my window and ruin my cars interior while also unable to see the menu and figure out what I want.

Barista was extremely hostile & manager didn’t even care when i let her know how upset it made me. Don’t bother asking for an extra splash of creamer here even though you paid for it. i asked nicely for a splash of sweet cream (that i paid for ) in my drink because i am sensitive to caffeine & my drink was a bit strong for my liking, and the barista was extremely hostile. First asking me why i wanted an extra splash & telling me she already put some in. Before i could even explain it was a bit strong for my liking & i only wanted a splash more she proceeded to dump the container in til my cup practically overfilled & slammed the container down splashing sweet cream all over the counter and stormed away. I stood there wiping up my drink & making sure nothing got on my work attire and felt extremely stressed cause i only asked for an extra splash of sweet cream and i asked her kindly, that hostile and rude behavior caught me by surprise and felt me feeling incredibly upset. As a former barista that understands the fast pace of the job that was extremely unprofessional. To the barista if you see this idk if you were having a bad morning or a busy shift but taking it out on strangers especially someone who approached you kindly is 100 percent wrong. I will never ever come to this starbucks again because of how hostile and nasty you were. I hope you find a better way to manage the stress of your job or find a different one if your gonna be set off by something as simple as extra creamer. To the manager who i tried to talk to to let her know how upset that made me, i wish you would of let me finish one sentence before interrupting me with an “It’s Okay” because actually it really was not okay i feel like you should have taken the time to hear me and how that encounter left me feeling attacked. You should of checked on your barista and asked her if she was feeling okay or needed a moment to herself before continuing to treat her customers the way she did. If i could hold my composure an speak kindly to your barista & you after being treated so horribly than asking for a moment of your time to actually CARE shouldn’t have been so hard. At the end of this experience walking out with zero accountability for the shitty way everything was handled really ruined my morning & the cherry on top was dumping my drink i paid for in the trash because she ruined It & it wasn’t even drinkable. Thank you to puainako starbucks who i had to mobile order for a replacement for being professional and kind every time i come in. I appreciate the Welcoming vibe & professional service at your location every time.

Their espresso always tastes terrible, like they don’t clean the machines. Doesn’t matter if you come in first thing in the morning or late afternoon. Also, I kid you not, the drive through takes up to 30 minutes. I’ve timed it once at 21 minutes, it’s insane.
This is one of the larger and more roomy Starbucks locations. The tables are plentiful and the services typical starbucks: Excellent. Parking can sometimes be challenging, but it's worth it if you're in the mood for a good cup of coffee and something to munch on.

Very busy location, with large seating area, great place to meet up and enjoy your favorite beverage. Location was well stocked and while busy the staff were efficient, kind and friendly. I was a little mesmerized by the organization of the team members making drinks and managing the in-store line and the drive through. They were working hard!
