I often have bought high quality frozen durian here but I never really tried their food because I'm not vegan however today I bought their sweet potato brownie and it's probably the best brownie I've ever eaten. And their kombucha is great too.

Amazing vegetarian food with locally sourced fresh ingredients. The fresh sugarcane juice is a real treat. Highly recommend a visit to this unique family run restaurant if you’re ever in Hilo.

Google auto recommends the durian smoothie, definitely not worth the hype and doesn’t taste great either. I tried a few more bakery items which were pretty good.

I love Sweet Cane. I have celiac so eating out can be a challenge. I have had smoothies including my most recently the Pina Colada smoothie and it was delicious. My friend loves their acai bowl, you can get small or large...the large really is LARGE. It's always fresh. When you walk in to your left are coolers with fresh juices and desserts. I bought a piece of gluten free carrot cake from the display at the counter and it was great. How I have missed carrot cake until now! They also sell coffee by the bag.

So you order at the counter, they give you a number and you take a seat indoors or at one of the outdoor tables. The artwork is always nice and I believe for sale.

Other items I have tried in the included grilled cheese(off of the children's menu) on gluten free bread. The bread was made with buckwheat flour which I like Sometimes buckwheat can be a little bitter. It was an affordable option for eating out and a large portion.

I took my mother here for Mother's day which was PERFECT . We had buckwheat (gluten free) pancakes and she had a coffee-blueberry drink that I wish I could recall the name of but she loves them.

You bus your own tables. The dining area are kept clean and it's peaceful. Definitely a nice place to go for a quiet breakfast or lunch.

I ordered the kale lover salad and my husband ordered the hungry farmer salad. Both salads were flavorful and delicious.
