Great food at a great price! Wailoa Grill is a small local grill with outside protected seating. We shared their grilled salmon platter, opting for their asian flavored slaw vs macaroni and boy are we glad we did. As you might be able to see rhe portion was enough for two. We'll definitely be back before leaving! This is a hidden gem of a place! 🥰

So far this is my favorite plate lunch spot in Hilo. The grilled salmon plate with slaw and the garlic furikake chicken plate are my favorites . The wait is never long and there are lots of places to sit. Really good location being next to the park and waterfront too.

Come for the fresh catch of the day platter and other special plate lunches. We’ve had some of the tastiest and freshest fish specials on the island. The Ahi cutlet is superb.

First time there. Got the Ahi Katsu special. Pretty good though the fish was just a little on the dry side. I wish the fish was flash fried and on the rarer side. Portion size was good, a big ahi steak. Sauce was delicious and helped. Batter was nice and crispy. I will go back and try some of their daily menu dishes.
