Don't go here. This place will ruin sashimi for the rest of your life. Took one bite of Otoro tuna and I can never go back to eating normal sushi/sashimi again. I wish I could go back and relive the first bite I had. 5/5. Grab some poke in the stall next to this while you wait. And yes definitely order by the pound for Otero or you'll regret having to come back to order more.

I had octopus because I didn't understand Japanese. There is good reason for the lunch line🥹

Parking is limited, closed at 2pm and this fish market feels overrated for what it offers. I went in to get a sashimi platter, but the owner insisted I had to buy at least 1 lb of each type of fish. I ended up having to purchase about 1.5 lbs across four different kinds, which felt excessive—especially given the overall quality wasn’t particularly premium.

To be fair, the fish was fresh and tasted good, but it definitely wasn’t worth the $140 price tag.

This was the absolute best sashimi I have ever had. Their prices are amazing, and the owners are such kind and happy people. They prepare the sashimi platter with care and provide everything you'd need to enjoy it! Loved this market so much, we came back 2 more times over 6 days...

They had premade sashimi but when we asked for the made to order one they didn’t even know about it even when the sign was behind them. The premade one was delicious but I feel too expensive for the presentation and everything, my bad for not asking the price, If I knew I would have gone to the place next to it.

old school fish market stall serving up delicious fish and sashimi, they offer sashimi platters if you want to order for a party

Not happy with quality and if pre-ordering check the weight, they seem to think 12oz is a pound. Very sad when you try to support local and they do this to you. I have to go down to talk to them about this haven't had the chance yet.

Alert! Unethical business. You should ask price before buying. They charged me $188 for 2 medium size red snappers. Because they already cleaned the fish so we have to pay. Also I asked their employees for gingers and seaweed. They said $2 each but when I got home and check my bank, I charged me $20 for 2 small boxes. It is so unethical.

Hidden gem fresh poke & sashimi. Got here early morning and the gentleman cutting tuna gave us some samplers. Purchased their tuna poke bowl and its delicious! Highly recommended for sashimi/poke lovers!

Kinda hidden, it's probably the only fish market among the stalls, but it's cheap, clean and delicious. We had the sashimi and it's probably the way to go for cheap seafood.

Located in Chinatown in Honolulu. It's a small corner booth in a crowded building full of eateries that are mainly authentic Chinese foods. The market offers a variety of fresh fish choices from Mahi to Salmon and everything in between. You can buy whole fish, fillet, sashimi and poke all by the pound. I sampled the yellowtail poke (amazing) which is hard to come by in Oahu. I'll be back for more. The Ahi Poke was just just as good. They were unfortunately sold out of the Otoro which was what I came for. I guess someone had just came and bought the entire thing. The pieces are cut directly from the fish, so your unable to by less than a pound to avoid getting a super thin slice.

Hidden gem poke and sashimi place at the back of Oahu Market! Some of the freshest fish you can get, and friendly service as well.
