We were the first to be seated when the doors opened at 5pm, and we ordered a total of 8 dishes. The service is friendly, the food came out quickly, and everything tasted fantastic! The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate, as well as family friendly!
Humble but terrific aburiyaki (flame-seared) izakaya joint. Pork belly & oxtail porridge were hot & tasty! Friendly staff, homey decor (including fan letters from kids), & very reasonable prices. Fun Japanese pop music - great place to chill when taking a break from fancy tasting menus :-)
Must get the oxtail soup! The meat is tender and the soup is light but still has a good amount of flavor. We also ordered the potato salad, the sweet corn, the cold tofu with spicy sesame minced pork, the beef flank and the aburiyaki chicken thigh in shio koji. I thought everything was pretty good!
