We visited Aina Steak and Seafood over the Christmas holidays and were a little bit late for our reservations. Luckily, the friendly staff still saved a table for us by the open kitchen. The kitchen and the entire restaurant, including the bathrooms, were very clean. The restaurant had a different vibe from other steakhouses on the island which was very refreshing. The friendly waitress took our drink orders and gave us an overview of some of the recommendations and specials. Our waitress was very attentive and always had a smile on her face. She checked on us multiple times throughout our dining experience. We ordered: Appetizer: Oyster platter, salad (came with the steak) Sides: Truffle mashed potatoes, mushroom medley Entrees: Prime ribeye, lamb rack Dessert: Creme brulee, cheesecake The apps were fresh and delicious. The protein entrees came with these special salts and wasabi on the side. It complimented the meat well. The ribeye was just mediocre but the lamb was some of the best I have ever tasted on this island. The sides were portioned well and very tasty. Desserts was just what you would expect to end the meal with. Overall the food was very good. Now this is where the night was sort of ruined. As we were seated near the kitchen, we could overhear the cook/manager/owner(?) berating his service staff very loudly and in earshot of us customers. We were not eavesdropping, but he was so loud that we could see that this was legitimate borderline verbal abuse. I felt sorry for the female staffers that had to endure his unprofessional outbursts in the workplace. I say this as someone who has worked in every position of the restaurant field. As a manager, I have never yelled at any of my staff ever, because you as the leader must show leadership. How do you expect to manage or control your environment when you cannot control your own temper? As a waiter, I would never tolerate an authoritarian manager. I would quit right on the spot. As HR, you might have a lawsuit on your hands if you were to abuse your workers. I loved the food, but I would only come back again if another cook or manager was working instead of this man. I cannot support a business that mistreats its workers, no matter how good the food is.

We had the family style Tomahawk steaks. The steaks were amazing and were enhanced my the flavored salts. The loaded mashed potatoes were flavorful and creamy and paired perfectly with the steaks. I really loved the warm family atmosphere.

Honestly,

This place is a Waikiki gem! My family came to visit from the mainland and wanted steak. We all enjoyed the perfectly cooked and high quality tomahawk steaks. The provided special salt and wasabi really enhanced the flavor. The salad and custom made dressings were absolutely delicious. The mashed potato and creamed spinach sides were excellent. The service was warm and friendly. This is now in my go to rotation for nights out. Do not hesitate to try this place.

Probably one of the best steaks I ever had in my life. A small family-run business with reasonable prices, a cute and quiet atmosphere and really nice people to talk to. The salat for starters was flavorful with a homemade dressing. The filet mignon was sweetly garnished, cooked to perfection with a variety of homemade salt and wasabi as well as mashed potato for sides. They have a nice selection of local beers. Definitely going back there.

There was a Korean person there so I ordered comfortably.
They checked whether the amount we wanted to order was appropriate and checked to see if anything was lacking.
It was nice to be able to enjoy lobster and steak together.
The mashed potatoes and salad are also delicious.

I hardly leave reviews but this restaurant was awesome. The best food, service, and atmosphere of our whole trip (and last night we ate at a Michelin star restaurant - Aina topped it). A must go to!!

This wonderful restaurant is tucked away off the beaten path. We walked in and were pleasantly surprised that it was a casual fine-dining establishment. The menu is simple, but the owner accommodated any variation we asked for off the menu. The owner and his staff were extremely friendly and hospitable. I would definitely recommend this place because they definitely have the Aloha Spirit.

Great place to come and eat some great steaks. Most of the food is family style to serve more than 1 person. Great option for a family dinner. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the building, and i would suggest parking in the back parking lot.

Parking: Parking is located in the back of the building

Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs are the only way to get up

What a gem! I came to Waikiki for vacay and to celebrate my 38th birthday solo I met a good friend while here also traveling solo and we got hungry and wanted good food. Booked reservations boom ! As we first entered the restaurant the staff especially the waitress greeted us with open arms. This place sits upstairs in a corner the absolutely cutest. The vibes and aesthetics was everything. We got oysters and calamari, man oh man the freshest I’ve had! Do order a full tray.like foreal. Had the watermelon Suke and cheesecake salad with the dressing was magical to say the least. The different salts for me ribeye cook to perfection juicy bold and flavorful. This place is a treasure to Waikiki 10/10 I can’t wait to get back!!!!
