It was great! The staff was helpful and cheerful. Quick to answer questions with just the right amount detail. We will be returning.
Our server was kind and had great recommendations! The food was nothing special. Ordered the garlic shrimp & it was deep fried with the shell on. Hard to peel off and just annoying to have to do but overall not terrible in flavor.
ロコモコ初めてでしたが、美味しかった‼️ めちゃくちゃ食べたい人は、ラージでも良いかも 日本語話せる店員さんなので、安心して、 食事できます。
Our experience was exactly as other people have written. Great service, food comes out very fast and is delicious. My son had the Big Island Loco Burger and said it was the best meal he's ever had in his life!!
Best Loco Moco in Honolulu. I'll be fantasizing about that gravy for some time. Highly recommend.
We had a great experience! Good food and drinks! Our server was a sweetheart, James! Would definitely recommend.
Great food and super friendly. We enjoyed the ambiance, exactly what we were looking for dinner the night we dined. Would def go back!!
Food was bussin. Drinks were bussin. We got the loco moco, edamame, mai Thai, and lava flow.
Definitely a dive bar feel. Good loco moco with Japanese influence.
There's a vegan loco moco option!

I read so many wonderful reviews, so really disappointed in my experience. The food was terrible. One of their specialties…garlic shrimp…so fishy and greasy. I barely ate anything from my plate, and frankly, I’m not that discerning. Just awful. The server was okay, nothing special. Even a little condescending.

It feels so-so. Is there a big difference depending on the staff?

I went there without making a reservation, but a woman who looked Japanese asked me everything in English, including if I was making a reservation, so I thought she was of Japanese descent and answered in poor English, but after ordering, I was asked by a Japanese acquaintance of mine. When I arrived, the woman I thought was of Japanese descent was speaking fluently in Japanese.
I suddenly felt sick.If you can speak Japanese, isn't it natural to respond in Japanese?
No matter how we look at it, I think only Japanese people can see it.
I think the food was delicious, but I felt like I was being made a fool of.

Good location, traditional island ambience and vibe. Modest space, may need a reservation.
I loved my vegan loco moco plate taste and presentation. The drinks were appetizing , overall a good experience.

In short, the food was delicious. The service was quick and the staff were professionals. The atmosphere was ok with music. We enjoyed our food and we look forward to another day at this amazing Hawaiian restaurant.
Vegetarian options: They have options for vegetarians.
Parking: This place is located by the roadside and parking is free. There’s also a paid parking lot just opposite.
Kid-friendliness: Kids can visit this amazing restaurant with their parents.
Wheelchair accessibility: This place is located on the first floor and the stairs are narrow. Not good enough for those on wheelchairs except they have another entrance.
