Food was awesome! Great flavor & served family style. Ambiance was nice and homey like a place you've gone to many times before. The service on the other hand was terrible. It wasn't that crowded and it seemed like the food took forever to come. My friends literally ordered just moments before we did and it took almost half an hour between their order and ours. Then once the food came our server was no where to be seen. Even waiting for take out containers and our bill took forever. Great place & great food but service really lacked that night.

A chill sports bar with Hawaiian bar food for your next pau hana. The place is no frills, casual place to get together with friends and watch the game. They also show UH games if they're on. I liked the vibe so I came two times in one week.If you don't drink, my favorite is the virgin strawberry margarita with li hing powder on the rim of the glass, paired with fish tofu patties. I had the poke but it's not my favorite. The fish and chips were super generous. The downside is the extremely limited parking. The free parking lot could accommodate probably less than 10 cars and the rest would need to find street parking (which is also hard since it's close-ish to town by a busy road)Vegetarian options: Minimal vegetarian optionsParking: The free parking lot could accommodate probably less than 10 cars and the rest would need to find street parking (which is also hard since it's close-ish to town by a busy road)Wheelchair accessibility: It's pretty accessible - there's disabled parking, no stairs etc to get to the establishment.

There was a time when an "open tab" meant your server put a pitcher on your table and everyone threw in a $20 letting the server help themselves with each successive round. Pitcher empty, everyone throw in another $20. A time when your choice was a brown bottle or a green one with or without a bucket of ice. A time where the fried chicken, kalbi, fried noodles were free as long as you kept drinking. Kamigata's, Flamingo's Waipahu, Shinsho Tei, and yes, Anyplace. The food is not free anymore but if you love the old school taste, it delivers. Kalbi, grilled, sweet soy goodness. "Obachan's fried chicken", incredibly crisp skin, juicy interior with the home cooked taste. Old school bacon fat laden fried rice, win! Cheap beer. Nothing fancy unless you consider Kona Longboard on tap fancy. Heavy pours of dive bar standard drinks (kamikaze anyone?). Incredibly friendly service with an unexpected tech twist. Your orders are taken on an iPad. Great place to watch a game with well placed large screens everywhere. A true come as you are, local dive bar that brims with the feeling of mutual understanding and belonging you only get from those who grew up in Hawaii.

Aunty Judy and her staff are supreme. Karaoke, sports games on the TV. Lots of great food and warm family laughter. We go once a week for dinner and drinks.

My recent visit with a group to this place left a lot to be desired, and I can't help but give it just one star. The owner's behavior was truly disappointing; she was outright mean and rude. Her attitude was so unwelcoming, and it felt like she was putting on a bad act with all the drama. What really saved the day were the workers. They were incredibly friendly and, surprisingly, they had to apologize on behalf of their boss. It's unfortunate to see someone in charge act like a tyrant and make people uncomfortable.Given this experience, I've decided I won't be returning here. It's a shame because the staff seemed nice, but the owner's behavior overshadowed everything.

8/2023Despite post Covid challenges, so far, so good. They've persevered with consistency and Aloha. In the new McCully location, the food is as good as ever. I like the much roomier space for them to spread even more. Aloha. The prices are right, they've added a good happy hour, and yes, the food still onolicious. We just had a reunion here, and so did another group. Parking can be challenging when busy, but so are all places that are busy. There's a pay parking lot across the street that's convenient. They've recently added entertainment as well on certain nights. May be my new go-to. ??✌️

A landmark local bar with good service. Was on king street now in back of jack in the box. Local favorites with food and drink specials. Always good to spend your money on local businesses.Newly decorated paint job and neat looking.
