Love the chicken rice, oxtail soup, wonton noodles, and the better milk tea here in Honolulu!

Wonton prawn noodle was delicious. The egg noodles were just springy enough and the wonton was soft.

Anytime you wanna decide what you are, just let us know... Italian? Chinese? American? Fist time eating here, maybe our last. This place has been open a while and we finally got to experience their rather eclectic menu and decor. This place is in the corner of Market City SC, near a couple of other eateries worth trying (Fun Station, Da Best Pho, Thai Issan Cusine). It hits you when you first look at the menu and say...HUH? French Toast appetizer? Yup, it's there. But we decided to try the veggie spring rolls. You get 3 spring rolls in an order with a dipping sauce that had no taste at all. No vinegar, no garlic, no chili. It could have just been flavored chicken stock. Our entrees held more promise: Chicken picata and Hai nam chicken. Well, surely ONE of these dishes will hit the mark. Their Italian or Chinese food must be good. Sorry, I was just half right. The chicken in the chicken picata was cooked nicely and comes with al dente pasta, but there was too much thin watery sauce and no lemon at all. The capers and butter made it rich, but without any lemon at all to cut through that fat, well, it was not a dish I'd order again. The Hai Nam chicken was nicely prepared and comes artfully presented on a tray with rice cooked in broth, the poached chicken, choy sum, two dipping sauces, and a bowl of broth. While the broth was not piping hot as it should have been, it was tasty. The chicken was cooked well, not overdone, and had a nice light five-spice taste. The two dipping sauces, ginger green onion and garlic/chili, were just okay. The garlic green onion sauce looked old, without the slightest hint of green in the green onion. What saved this dish is the rice. It is toothsome and flavorful and had a nice savory taste. The decor is also schizophrenic: One side has a nice split-face brick wall, the other side has paper cut outs covering a wall of glass panes. Oh, and then there are the 4 guys sitting towards the back (not customers) speaking in loud Cantonese as well as the servers sitting there on their phones... I'll come back when their schizophrenia is cured... Oh, and BTW: I walked in without a mask and asked the server if that was okay. He said, if you sit down right away to eat, it's okay. So,..are you requiring masks or not? It was never clear, so I just followed Ige's rules and didn't wear a mask...

Great tasting wontons and briskets. Very small portions though...

We came at 715pm last week Friday. Their closing time was 730pm. The waiter was very kind to accommodate us. But we had to order immediately, which was not a problem because we were super hungry. We ordered our usual, won ton mein, beef stew won ton mein and won ton fish ball look fun soup. Everything was excellent. We didn't finish our dinner until 800pm. They did not rush us at all... but we are very fast because we were super hungry.

As there are not many options at 10pm, we found ourselves at Anytime Cafe. The server was super friendly. The food came out quickly and was hot. - spring rolls: 5/5 - onion pancakes: 4/5 - shrimp wonton soup: 5/5 for the wonton but 1/5 for the broth - chicken and mushroom risotto: 5/5 on flavor, but be aware that this is more of a saucy rice than a traditional risotto.

I am very, very sad. Our family's favorite "go-to" restaurant for over 10 years has changed. It had been a few months since our last visit to Anytime Cafe. Previously, their menu featured a nice variety of western dishes with a Hong Kong flair. Their management and staff were always friendly and welcoming. Last night we decided to have dinner there. We were surprise to see a complete overhaul of menu items. Gone were all of the great Anytime signature dishes, replaced with a unimaginative selection of generic selections. To be fair, what we had tasted good, but there was literally nothing else I was interested in. THEN there was the service, or a serious lack of. The female host, gave us a unwelcome look when we first arrived. After being seated, we waited for over 10 minutes before the waiter (who also was very unfriendly) brought out water and immediately asked what we wanted to order. I politely asked if they served one of my favorite Anytime dishes, only to get an unfriendly "no we don't have that anymore". And I understand that restaurants do change their menu selections from time to time. But the waiter didn't even suggest, or talk about the new offerings. After we had finished our meal, the waiter immediately brought us the check (seems like the only thing they are fast about), and didn't even ask if we wanted anything else. I didn't recognize any of the employees there at all. And the atmosphere of the restaurant had changed. I suspect that maybe they are under new ownership or management? But all the things (food & service) that made Anytime Cafe one of favorite places to eat are gone. It breaks my heart to say that we have had our last meal there. If any other Anytime patrons are unaware of the changes, I strongly suggest finding somewhere else to eat.

Very good Chinese/Cantonese food at a decent price. Order porridge, fried rice roll, Hong Kong style milk tea. Will definitely come again!

Surprisingly tasty! Hot day so started off with #63 Grass Jelly Shave Ice w/coconut milk. This was very refreshing and a great start! Price a bit high for quantity but it was so refreshing! #45 turnip cake - fried nicely on outside and soft on the inside with a bit of meat and onion. I liked it for its lightness. Not heavy and oily. Id order it again. #13 Shrimp dumpling noodle in broth- honestly i was totally surprised there was real shrimp and not a shrimp ball. Really tasty! #14 - Beef brisket and tendon- really tasty per my picky friend. She would order again!

We really like the dumplings noodles (dry version) from Anytime Cafe. It tastes like the one in Asian! They used to open 24 hours, unfortunately with the Covid pandemic they only open till 7:30 pm.

Japan and Hong Kong, both of which had Brits filling up their ports (the reason is not important) developed traditions of localized versions of western foods eaten at places kind of like a diner, where you could also drink afternoon tea and coffee. Hawaii, which also has Brits in its ports (the reasons will not be named) doesn't seem to have as much of the same British influence as the food of Japan or Hong Kong--although if I'm missing something please let me know! Anyway, while Japan developed the kissaten as a place for fusion food, Hong Kong developed the Cha chaan teng, whose ecclectic and fusion menu is a bit reminiscent of a local diner, with western dishes served on rice listed next to noodle soups and stir fried. You'll have to settle for tea instead of green river though. I didn't realize anytime Cafe is kind of a cha chaan teng, tucked away in market city for years. I remember coming as a kid and trying risotto for the first time. They have an assortment of local foods like loco moco, and Italian foods as well but I opted for what I've heard are some quintessential Hong Kong dishes. I ordered the pork chop burger which came with a salad and fries (I think this is macanese but close enough). My friend currently living in Hong Kong described it as 搞錯, having lettuce tomato and a McDonald's-esque sesame bun, but I liked it. It's perhaps an Americanized version of the original, exactly what you'd expect in a hamburger plate lunch but with the party subbed for pork chop. There were two decently sized pieces of pork neatly tucked into the sandwich which were juicy, with a good balance of leanness and marbling, a little crunchy on the outside, and with a subdued curry flavoring. It went surprisingly well with the lightness of the veggies. The fries, after sitting out for an hour or so, were soggy but the burger was definitely the star of the container. I recently discovered that stir fried look fun is a thing, which has taken my appreciation for the dish to a new level. This was delicious, with a nice wokhei flavoring with some roasted shoyu, which I topped with sweet peanut sauce and tangy hoisin sauce. This was almost as good as the look fun sides in Lam's Kitchen. I added some chili pepper, which made the dish extra lit. The only downside was that I didn't eat all and kept it in the fridge overnight and awoke to hard, teeth shattering lumps. If anyone knows how to reheat dried out look fun please hmu. I got Hong Kong style french toast as well, a dish that exemplifies the cha chaan teng, which i tried for the first time at sandy's cafe recently. The bread is crisp and fluffy, with thin but flavorful peanut butter smeared inside. It's orderline savory, peanut butter wasn't sweet and coating almost like local tempura. Amazing with butter and syrup and on substances. Of course, I tried the Hong Kong milk tea and milk tea/coffee as well. The milk tea is strong as expected, but more sweet and less strong than I've had in Cinatown--less of a tea taste but still a nice caramel flavor. Not cloyingly sweet though The mix is probably my favorite, with the caramel taste of the tea but with almost a fruitiness from the coffee too. It's a little expensive but the portions are pretty good. Also it's called Anytime Cafe but they're only open six days a week and not 24 hours a day which is low key false advertising. That said, since I can apparently get Hong Kong food without trekking to Chinatown, I won't be complaining.

I love this place and we have been dining here for years, they serve one of the best Hong Kong Style Won ton noodle and pretty good Hong Kong style milk tea. The bake seafood spaghettini is one of my favor. They ofter some daily special served with soup or salad & garlic bread that offer a good valve. Other food choice are - salad, burger, sandwich, risotto, pizza, rice soup, dessert, etc. There are a lot of parking and I never have any issue finding parking even the shopping center is always busy. You will not be disappointed with this place, recommend.

Their food is always fresh and tasty. They make delicious creamy soups. There are so many items on their menu to choose from including Italian and Chinese dishes. They also make their own tiramisu.
