Ao gelato is right next to nana's green tea. When we arrived, there was nobody at the register but somebody from nana's came over to help us. It seems like the shop is run by employees at nana's. There's lots of flavors to choose from, including classic Hawaiian flavors. Other flavors include matcha and black sesame. I ordered a cup of passion fruit gelato. My only complaint is that there's a lot of broken up passion fruit seeds in it, but flavor was good.

Timing is everything. Reading fine print and asking questions help too. My local friend shared a link about Stix Asia celebrating its one year anniversary. There were a series of promotions and, when our group was discussing a dinner spot on Saturday evening in early February, I suggested picking a restaurant there. Before walking the aisles, my friend and I went to the information desk and asked whether that Saturday's promotion offer was still available. The lady confirmed that there were redemption coupons still available so we planned accordingly. After dining at the noodle restaurant in the back, we explained the promotion to our fellow diners and paid for our meals so that all interested guests would be able to enjoy this perk. For spending $20 on a meal, we were given a coupon to get a free cup of sorbet here. Being right next to the information desk, this store is to the far left, near the exit doors and stairs. In redeeming our coupons, we patiently waited as the young lady scooped our cup of sorbet. mango sorbet ( The promotion didn't lend any choice in flavors but I must say that I enjoyed that sorbet, perfectly icy after a hot bowl of noodles. The young lady was patient as the five of us each had coupons. As we were about to leave, a gentleman shared with us the background of their company which was interesting and helpful. Always great to support local businesses. On our next visit to Stix, if I still have stomach space... highly likely..., I will stop in and try some of their other offerings whether it be sorbet or gelato. And thank you for the promotion to give us a free opportunity to experience your business.

Delicious artisanal gelato, perfect after dinner treat and all flavors are local fruits and tea based ice cream. Lilikoi is the best and paired it with earl grey per the teams rec for a wonderful combo!

Amazing staff, great selection of options, very yummy and not too sweet! I love this place and the energy that the employees have at the register. I always recommend this place to friends and I always swing by when in the area. 10 out of 5 stars !

This place is awesome, definitely a must try. Especially great on a hot day to take a cool break from the sun!

The staff there are always very friendly! Not to mention their gelato and the ice cream from nana green tea next door that they also run are both delicious, and you'll find at least one flavor that will tickle your fancy! Their strawberry cheesecake is very creamy and flavorful but not heavy at all. Mango sorbet is good if you want something light. Their black sesame is very flavorful with bits of black sesame as that's what I sampled and I think that's what I'll order next time! What a great way to finish off a meal. Stix Asia has everything you need for a fun food adventure!

good gelato place in the middle of Stix food hall. I came here for dessert after trying out Baikohken. One of the workers were really nice and said we could sample any of the flavors. I tried out hojicha, coffee, and strawberry cheesecake before making my decision. I got the lychee & hojicha while my sister got the coffee & strawberry cheesecake. The hojicha was the best out of all them. It had a nice and smooth flavor.

First time visiting Ao Gelato and I was pleasantly surprised. Located in Stix Asia on Kalakaua in Waikiki, this gem shares a space with Nana's Green Tea. There are a few shared tables for you to sit down and enjoy your treat. I tasted the mango sorbet, hojicha gelato, and strawberry cheesecake gelato. All three were delicious, but I'm a sucker for cheesecake so that was the obvious winner. Smooth and creamy with chunks of cheesecake and strawberry swirls, I enjoyed every last bit of my choice. I will definitely come back again to enjoy some of their other flavors when I'm back in Waikiki again with a sweet tooth. Don't forget your kama'aina discount!

Located next to Nana's green tea inside Stix Asia. Small shop and maybe the same owners as Nana's next door. The staff was very friendly and patient. She let me try a few flavors before choosing! My favorite one was the Earl Grey Gelato! Delicious and the perfect treat after dinner. Very creamy and hit the spot.

They were really smart to jump into STIX as a gelato place. After eating Asian food, this is the perfect way to end dinner. Their gelato is creamy, and the flavors are on point. We tried the strawberry cheesecake and the pumpkin chocolate chip. It tasted exactly like what you hoped it would. There's nothing more to say. However, I felt bad for the girl helping us because she had to jump between the gelato area and the soft serve area with only another employee. There was a long line, and I know they were stressed. But, everyone is having that issue now. Looking forward to people getting back to work.
