Small family shop. There was security in front and one customer at a time. (Not sure if this is a regular thing.) My first time. There wasn't a long line as seen by previous postings. Maybe I missed the crowd? They are open only on Sundays 10-2.
Bought the Da Classic Strawberry and Passion Orange & Guava (Pog) sorbet. They have certain special flavors so best to check their website as to what will be available to purchase. A bit pricey, but worth it.
(Sorry...products were eaten before I could take pictures. Yummy!!)
Local little shop that makes awesome flavors. They are only open one day a week and for 4 hours. Totally worth it if you can make it.
Amazing 🤩 totally recommended and they help a lot. They are so delicious please support this family business.
Dare I say this is now my favorite frozen dessert shop on the island??? It's IN CRE D IB L E. They absolutely nailed the flavors... If it says it taste like strawberry, green River or passion orange, even the lemon peel gummy bear, it literally taste exactly like that item in sherbet consistency. I got the green river and the passion orange and both were amazing. The Passion Orange tasted just like the Hawaiian airline juice cups, but in sherbet form. Asatos truly found a way to make the flavors burst in your mouth! Additionally, I was so pleased that they gave me a 15% kamaaina discount!!!
To find it, you have to go inside Kings & Queens clothing store. It's a bit hard to find from the main Kalakaua street, but just go inside the surf shop and walk to the back left corner.
Staff was super friendly. I think I will crave their sherbert!

Their sorbet is absolutely delicious
fresh, sweet, and rich.
I especially love the passion fruit flavor, but honestly, every flavor I’ve tried has been amazing.
The new Waikiki location is super cool, and even the cups are adorable. Highly recommend!
Worth the 30 min wait time in line. Got all the flavors. And they gave us a big reusable bag too. 10 of 10
First time here. Delicious! Friendly and warm. Great deal for one pint of homemade ice cream/sherbert. Best part is supporting local! It's on Pali Hwy. If you past the Pali Hwy entrance for Longs/ Safeway, you'll see it on the right. But the van with goodies is parked on street in front of the store, which is where they make the sherbert. Go check it out and support local!
Love yhe diffrent flavors you can get..Pickled Mango, Makaha Mango and Li Hing Float ..all where the bomb.
I would HIGHLY recommend Asato Family Shop! They are so hospitable and their ice cream is perfectly sweetened and flavored. They offer superb quality with the warmest Aloha spirit you will find. Their ice cream is delicately light and rich. They offer unique flavors from Hawai’i. I’m so glad I found this truly hidden local gem! MAHALO NUI!!!
Always great! The people, the flavors, etc.

The ice cream and other treats are good. But stick to conventional flavors. The spam egg and rice flavored ice cream and the spam Rice Krispie treats weren’t it.
Fantastic, amazing, wonderful, delicious! The service is second to none. I am more than happy to drive from Laie to come get my fix. Mahalo nui for your aloha!
Best sherbet on the island!!! Friends visiting from the mainland absolutely loved it!!!
loved the pineapple sherbert so refreshing and the guava passionfruit was a party for my tastebuds.
Hands down the best local dessert shop on island! My boyfriend and I try to make it at least once a week to stock up on the crème brûlée and li hing float sherbet. Everyone there is always so kind and generous and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet treat or to support a local business!
