This is a small, well run location right on the water that doesn’t charge right on the water prices. They are always fast considering how fresh everything is (made from scratch), knowledgeable and friendly. Hawaii Kai is lucky to have this little treasure.

Inexpensive and good food. I ordered the satay and lemongrass chicken. Both were very good. Portions are big enough for two people and my order was ready in a few minutes. Highly recommend.

I ordered their ham sandwich. Not much ham in the sandwich. Very disappointing.

The pho was great, but I would avoid the summer rolls. They come with hair inside.

I ordered the lemongrass chicken bahn mi. So flavorful and yummy. Would 100% get again. There were so many other items on the menu I wanted, like the vermicelli plates, summer rolls, etc. I wish I could eat it all!

My boyfriend and I randomly stopped at Ba-Le on our way to Waimanalo Beach to celebrate our anniversary. We ordered 2 lemongrass chicken bahn-mis. Although we took it to go, we ended up pulling over on the side of the road near Lana'i Lookout to dig in. It was the perfect opportunity as our baby was sound asleep, and we never get a chance to eat together without little hands trying to reach for our food lol. I asked for no jalapeños since that's what I'm used to seeing in bahn-mis. To my pleasant surprise, they don't come with the standard jalapeños! However, mine still ended up being pretty spicy even though his was marked spicy and mine was not lol. Although I didn't mind since it turned out to be really flavorful and incredibly filling. If we're ever in the area and craving bahn-mis we'll definitely be back here. Also, we were in such a rush to eat before baby woke up we totally forgot to take pictures! Haha

This place is so lit. After spending a photoshoot day at the beach. Visiting BaLe hit the spot. The service is so quick and the food tastes amazing. Just the perfect light meal to share or a quick bite to take on the go! :)

It was the best pho I've ever tasted. The garlic shrimp is also slightly spicy and good, and even the stir-fried onions are delicious. The store is a bit cluttered, but not bad.

Great tasting pho & sandwiches with a big selection of combo plate dishes under $15. Their prices are reasonable compared to other places $18 and over. Friendly service & although not a restaurant style place, the food is definitely worth eating here.

Omg I found my absolute favorite sandwich here: the bahn mi with lemongrass chicken. The chicken is quite spicy and all the flavors just work so well together! I’ve been to Vietnam before, and for me, the taste of the bahn mi is on par with what I tried there! Prices are also on the cheaper side!

For the area this place is decent. I have tried other dishes but the main star is the pho. The restaurant's pho is great for cold rainy nights. The broth comes out piping hot and packed ready for take out. We usually order over the phone and the the person answering takes our orders quickly and you are left wondering if they really know what we ordered. I have a feeling that the food is not made until we show up as it's almost always an additional 20 minute wait. Restaurant is not quite the cleanest but just don't think about where the food is coming from. It's really just soup anyways and can be boiled down to cook anything away. The soup and noodles really hit the spot.
