I love the choices. They are all really good. Boston Special is a staple to share along with Spinach and Garlic. Pieces are huge!

This place has fantastic New York style pizza! I had a quick pick-up order after a busy day of traveling. I was so impressed that I ordered more pizzas for my family the following week during our 2 week visit. The sauce is so good! Very harty and doesn't taste like cheap, canned sauce. Very rich tomato taste. The crust was cooked perfectly with no gum line. The outter cornicione was not burnt, airy and pleasant. The cheese stayed on the crust well, classic mozzarella that you would expect.I ordered 3 pizzas during my stay, the quality of meats used for the pepperoni and sausage were high, and not too greasy. Our spinach, garlic, and mushroom pizza had fresh tasting ingredients as well.Pricing is very reasonable, all their pizzas come in 1 size - very large 19", and can feed 3 hungry adults. With their pizzas being around $30, that's only $10 per person. I can't speak to the customer service or atmosphere inside because my friend picked up the pizzas.Overall, Boston's Pizza Hawaii Kai is a top spot to try if you're wanting great pizza!Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian toppings available

I'm going to try to sandwich this review as a positive/negative/positive format. Here it goes--wish me luck! The pizza at Boston Pizza in Hawaii Kai is good. We have been ordering frequently from this takeout restaurant. We typically order for different events or social get-togethers in the evening time. This last weekend we ordered 60 dollars plus worth of pizza for a childs b-day party we were attending. The gal working Saturday evening handed my husband the sealed pizza box at pick up. Unfortunately, we ended up with the wrong order. By the time we realized we were given the wrong order we were already at the b-day party. Based on the drive time we did not bring it back and just tried to make it work. FYI...kids are a tough crowd when it comes to food. I did take a pic for reference or proof. Now, fast forward to Monday when I called to speak to management. I described what happened, not in a ton of detail, but enough that she acknowledged that the gal from the weekend who gave us the incorrect order was a new hire. She then said thank you for letting me know...trying to end the conversation. I then asked her what would be a good course of action to make up for it based on their mistake & our inconvenience. This sad excuse for management proceeds to tell me that they aren't going to do anything (apparently...not even apologize) because they have been scammed and she won't do anything for me. She highly suggested that I was a scammer lol. It's a pizza, who takes the time and that much energy to scam for a pizza?? She did not make sense to me. Not once did I ever ask for a free pizza. I said that I thought that something should be done for us. She then threw it back on me and demanded to know why we didn't bring the pizza back. Seriously, they make the mistake and we have to accommodate them?? Use our gas & time after $60 plus dollars and a hefty tip? I don't think that's how this works, girl. She then told me that no one called her to tell her that they received the wrong pizza (like I did). Again, this implies that I was not being truthful. At this point, I am weirded out by her. I said of course they didn't...ours was more expensive. UGH! I won't even get into more of the ridiculous way she treated me in that short phone call. I tried to let her know that we order consistently from them and we won't be coming back based on how she was behaving toward me as the customer. She proceeds to yell at me and say, I kid you not, "That's fine DONT COME BACK HERE!". Completely crazy, entitled & arrogant behavior. Why she is managing this chain, barring nepotism of some sort, is beyond me. I will put out there that NO pizza is worth dealing with her. Sadly, she doesn't sell pizza...she repels people from it. Hands down her behavior & subtle (if not overtly) rude insults were ridiculous! She certainly does not look at her customers as a reason that she even has a job there in the first place. Certainly, an attitude adjustment and some customer service training are in order with her. Although, sadly, I'm pretty sure it won't help her. I can only imagine what a tyrant she is to work for! That poor staff probably aren't even allowed to look her in the eye. I highly suggest, if you so choose to order and support Boston Pizza in Hawaii Kai. Keep your eyes down, don't complain ever (even if they make a mistake) & move out fast. We did spend quite a bit of $$ monthly to support this business...but not anymore. Russell Dung (the purported owner of this chain) should take the time to get on here and contact people. I feel like he's lost control of his staff. His so-called manager is certainly costing him. So, in the vein of the pos/neg/pos promise...I will leave it with--most of the non-management staff are pleasant and the pizza is good when correct.

It's a no frills kind of place but it has Great pizza. When ordering just Be aware that the pies are fairly large.

Visited yesterday for lunch, got a whole pie plus another choice and it was delicious. I have not been disappointed on the many previous visits to Boston Pizza, the taste is consistent and the slices are still huge, there is no way you will be hungry after eating the two large slices. With the "supply shortage" it doesn't seem like they are cutting corners because the taste is still the same for the years that we've been visiting. Great small business that we need to keep supporting. Think about getting a pie from here before Costco. Keep up the good work Hawaii Kai's Boston Style Pizza.

At least she was giving off an "I don't like humans" vibe in the gentlest way possible. Pizza was worth it.

Kailua Boston Pizza is 5 stars. Hawaii Kai Boston pizza , surprisingly , is far from that! With the overhead in that location I am surprised they are still in business. If it is franchised the owner needs of Boston's needs to remodel/rehire. Maybe even Gordon Ramsey mode! They give Boston's a bad rep. Check for yourself and compare to Kailua Boston's.

Overall, Boston Style Pizza is great if you like that thin pizza kine. My personal favorite is the Big Red if I'm feeling like I want more veggies and if I'm in the meat mood, I'll do Meat Lovers. Some of the pizza slices Individually can be hit/miss depending on what time you're coming. Some days have tasted fresher/better than other times. Service has been overall good and easy to call in your order for takeout. It does take some time so make sure to call ahead.
