I recently went here with my family and a few friends and absolutely loved it. The service was quick with our waiter being very friendly. He brought out paper and crayons for the baby with us to play with. I wish I hadn't eaten before hand because the food was amazing. I ended up getting only a small amount, but I will definitely need to go back and try more when I'm on the island again. The pho and shrimp fried rice were some of the best i've had. Overall I really enjoyed the restaurant and highly recommend it.

We came here after Saigon did not open on time . Saigon was 20 minutes late and the family ended up eating here . My daughter had lemongrass bbq chicken and rice and it was the best I've had on the island . I had the Vietnamese beef rib stew which the beef was soo soft , it melts in your mouth

Charming little restaurant top of Kaimuki. We ordered a Thai tea, spring rolls and lemongrass pork chops. Tea was refreshing, and spring rolls were tasty and crunchy. Pork chops were delicious and cooked perfectly. Definitely recommended!

Tried to dine here this evening and the owner at the front said the restaurant was full. Every single time I walk in here he says the same thing. It's full and there were 3 tables open. Which he was holding for reservation. I get it. But really? This is the 4th attempt. Every time we try to eat here he tells me walk in only and then we walk in and they are full. The place looks half empty all the time! Talk about a rude owner that literally told us to leave. It was embarrassing and I will not try to diner here in the future! This one is exed off my list for good places to dine in Kaimuki. Don't go here. Zero social skills & terrible customer service.

Had an amazing experience and enjoyed dinner here on a Sunday evening after a hectic day of traveling. Came here with my wife, daughters, parents, in-laws, and family friends (10 total) and were well taken care of. Staff was attentive to our needs and food came out quick. I had the rice plate special (com dac biet), wife had the shaking beef (bo luc lac), rest of the table had combination pho, chicken rice plate, bun rieu, bun bo hue, pate and egg rolls. 10/10 across the board. There's a lot of Asian cuisine options- but if you're looking for some great Vietnamese food- this is your spot.

This place is a cute lil Vietnamese restaurant nice and clean in Kaimuki. We ordered their shaken beef over rice which was delish! Also ordered their spring rolls appetizer to share. When we got here it was a 1 man show so be courteous. The owner here was taking orders, cashiering, and cooking. Show this place some love by dining in or getting take out.

Incredible pho! I had the Beef Rip Soup and the meat was so tender. It came with a beef and rib bone which is a first for me. The soup was very flavorful with lots of noodles. My only comment is the place is a little warm so dress light when coming here.

Went in thinking I would get the Bun Rieu (crab soup) which I loved last time but for some reason I decided I wanted beef instead and went with pho suon Bo (beef rib soup) and was glad I did when the waiter owner said it's their #1 dish. The broth was both tasty and clean and the beef was very tender and came easily off the bone. Aunty and brother got the crab soup at my recommendation and were very pleased. They use real king crab that comes in leg and meatball form with shrimp, tofu, pork and vermicelli noodles. Mom got the spring roll bun vermicelli and wished it had more veges. We also got the chicken liver spread pate. If came with a cute baguette that was crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. The food here is great and we loved the beautiful enlarged photos of Vietnam decorating the walls but service was a bit brusque. Perhaps it's because it's like a 2 person operation and they're understaffed. I'm assuming someone was in the back cooking and that it wasn't the waiter cashier when he was running in the back. There seemed to be a steady flow of customers coming for take out.

Delicious bun rieu and pho! I was craving a taste of home after being on vacation for a month and was deathly craving some bun rieu. I stumbled on my salvation when I came across Broken Rice. Juicy, meaty crab patties with a delicious tomato broth that was sweet and umami with just a hint of acid from the tomatoes. I prefer my bun rieu extra stinky with lots of fermented shrimp paste and was a little disappointed that they didn't give any on the side (but I should have asked for it). The shrimp texture was a little offputting, as it wasn't firm and rather a bit mushy. Something that threw me off a little was that the food was served to us in plastic bowls and paper tray for the vegetables which seemed odd for a sit down restaurant with such nice decor. Although it's not like my mom's bun rieu, this still hit home and satisfied my cravings.

This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant, hands down. Yes you wait a little longer for your food but that's because everything is made fresh, made to order. And, might I add, the food is pretty darn good! My favorite is the beef rib soup - meat falls off the bone, so tasty. The owners are very friendly folks. Can't go wrong here.

Stopped in for lunch and had the beef lemongrass soup and lavender lemonade. The soup had just the right amount of heat and had good flavor. The lemonade was perfect not super sweet and the lavender added a nice touch. My order came out fairly quickly and the people working were friendly.

Delicious lemongrass chicken and pho! Great ambience and prices. Service is ok...server / owner not a conversationalist, but he was prompt with our order.

This viet place has the best pho in the state. Disclaimer: this is the only viet place I went to in Hawaii, but it's still really good. Reminds me of pho back in LA. After a swim in the ocean, I highly recommend stopping by here for some pho. I swear you will come back.
