I can’t believe that I did not learn about this eatery until yesterday. A friend and I met for lunch yesterday and she said she has gone there many times.
Dell’s has been open at the corner of Mccully and Young street for about two years. I often pass this location but have never ventured to try the food because I thought it was still a Chinese restaurant.
To my surprise, Dell’s/Mio Pastology are the same restaurant serving bentos and pasta with a bakery on the side. Although the concept may seem strange it works well under the vision of Chef Dell Valdez. The cohesiveness of the diverse menu is due to the Japanese consciousness of Chef Masatsuda and his wife Rita. The pasta selections are not heavy with cream or with excess of butter. They also sell bento selections which reflect a Japanese bento that you could get in Japan, not having the overwhelming taste of shoyu and sugar which are the downfall of some local bento places.

Kid-friendliness: Families will enjoy the food and coming to this restaurant.

Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is ADA compliant and there is space to maneuver a wheelchair or walker. The bathrooms are easily accessible from the main dining area.

overall a good value and selection, everything tasted ok, not going to blow your mind and curl your toes, just ok to good. the loco moco was interesting, bit soupy gravy, very mild. the salad side was great. lots of tables and ample parking, gets crowded during rush hour because lots of locals love this place. not worth going out of your way to experience if you are a tourist but if you are a local can be a great regular spot

We got the hayashi beef and it was good. It came with white rice and potato salad on the side.

Not a pleasant experience. Came in at 7:30 pm and staff was rushing to close. Felt like we were a burden coming in and picking up our food that we ordered ahead. While eating there, staff was shutting down, even shutting the blind a foot from our heads while we ate. No one sought to provide any service, but the tall girl made sure to instruct us on how to clean up our plates. I thought that was your job. Very unwelcome vibe, will not be back.

I was thirsty and had iced tea. The rolls were sweet and delicious. I was interested in red bean paste.
I didn't try any of the dishes, but there was a variety of menu items and they looked delicious.
The woman at the counter was Japanese. I was relieved to be able to speak Japanese ?

The salty and butter roll is amazing!! So soft and with enough butter for you to taste it.
The hot dog pan is also a must have!
The black coffee was soooo good, strong with no acidity.
The service is great and the staff is very friendly!

Bread of this quality is available in Hawaii.
I can’t believe I can have it! That's my impression.
Looks like the Japanese owner
This is a bread that suits the Japanese taste. Delicious.
The flavor is neither too strong nor too sweet.
The surface is smooth and the fabric is chewy. Gentle taste.
I definitely like it better than Ri●Ha Bakery.
From a Japanese chain bakery
I might like it. It’s definitely more delicious than Yama●n lol

When I was staying nearby
I used to go once every 3 days.
I wasn't able to go when I stayed far away.
I really wanted to go again.
I regret not being able to eat lunch or pasta.
The bento box was also a menu that Japanese people seemed to like.

The photo was taken around 11 o'clock on weekdays, and there were plenty of items.
Teriyaki chicken bread, chocolate bread,
peanut white chocolate bread,
Purchased Sweet Boule.
peanut white chocolate bread
It was my favorite flavor and I was really happy.
I want to eat this again. I want to eat it in Japan too.

People ordering takeout lunch even though it's 11 o'clock.
I was surprised that so many people came. It's popular.

All the staff members were in a good mood.
Looking at the showcase
They will take your order right away,
They efficiently packaged the items and operated the cash register.

After ordering multiple items, one was left at the table.
I received it, and it has a lot of windows, so it feels open.
It felt good to be in the sun.
Water is self-service in front of the cash register.
Everyone is doing a lot of takeout,
There was only one person eating at the table.

As a side note, Anko is written in romaji,
It's cute. It was a new discovery.
There were various Anko flavors.
