Good service. Nice donuts. Tried a twist and a cinnamon and both were good. Donuts are not my strong suit but they were nice and fluffy! A plus for the man at the checkout (probably the owner), very accommodating.

Best donut I’ve ever had! Visited in my last day in Oahu and I wish I had gone everyday. Only tried the donuts, as we already had a coffee but were feeling like a snack. Not a huge donut fan but will make this a stop every time I’m in Waikiki. Service was a little slow because there was only one person at the time but was worth it.

Look. They don't need my review. They sell out every day regardless...but I'll write one anyway. I'm from Chicago, and was visiting my sister who has been living on the island for a few years. When she told me I had to try "the best donut you will ever eat in your life", I rolled my eyes. "Can it beat the Stans Donuts I have back home? Fat chance", I thought. Until I experienced it.
I was doing some dishes at her apartment when I took my first bite. I almost didn't even register how good it was because I inhaled the rest of it in about one second, without even really realizing. I kept doing the dishes, and a moment later realized what had just occurred. The flavor, the fluffiness, the way it dissolved on my tongue. All my brain knew was "give me more of that immediately." I turned to see my sister filming my reaction, laughing hysterically. From there on I was a fiend. She had insisted on buying a dozen. "This wont be enough", she said. She was not wrong. I ate half the box in about 10 minutes. The cinnamon crumble (best hands down), the chocolate twist, the maple bacon, the glazed. All are a romantic, borderline s*xual experience. And thus, a love affair with a small donut shop in Hawaii was born.
The last time my sister flew home to Chicago, she traveled 5000 miles, across an ocean and two connecting flights, with a dozen Donut King donuts on her lap. She battled multiple airport strangers licking their chops and leaning over trying to steal a sniff. One man BEGGED for a small piece. She acquiesced, but for the remainder of the journey did her best to stay strong for us back home. She succeeded in surprising us with those donuts. A Christmas miracle.
Cronuts were delicious but the Long John didn't have much cream in it. They charged a 3% credit card fee without any notice though.

On my latest trip to Hawaii I stopped at Donut King to grab a coffee. To my surprise it was one of the best coffees I had all trip. I also ordered their glazed croissant bites that are amazing! I liked both of these items so much I went their 3 times during a 7 day trip. If you're looking for a good donut and cup of coffee Donut King has you covered.
