Leilani Taiwanese Kitchen (formerly known as Dragon Tea) is a great casual spot for boba drinks or delicious food. I really like the honeydew with fresh milk drink along with the beef noodle soup and the braised beef bento with pickled vegetables. As someone who has visited Taiwan, I can definitely say this is as authentic as it gets.

There are a few stalls of parking on the property but if that’s full, there is a larger adjacent lot with more stalls.
I first found out about dragon tea (recently rebranded to Leilani Taiwanese Kitchen) in 2020 while my friend and I were looking for a cafe to grab a bite, boba, and get some work done at. Since then, I've tried a couple other Taiwanese restaurants for the beef noodle soup but always find myself coming back to this hole in the wall spot for their tomato beef noodle soup! Was surprised to find an authentic homey Taiwanese restaurant in Honolulu.

Dumplings were freshly made (not the frozen kind). Minced Pork Rice was delicious and my husband also enjoyed the beef noodle soup as well.

Owner is super friendly and attentive.
