My friends live close by to here so it's hard to not go. They wouldn't make me an old fashion, but they can make mai tai's and other mixed drinks I've never ever been to a bar that wouldn't make an old fashion. I told some people I met about it, and they said If a bar won't make an old fashion walk out. Once again serious customer service issues with one particular bar tender. The big guy that's always there is pretty decent, and the young skinny guy is ok, but the other guy I don't know what his deal is, maybe he hates his job, and people. I tipped him big, and I regret it. I really want to like this bar. It's usually less crowded than the other Irish bar in Waikiki, and the servers that come to your table are usually pretty happy. Just avoid the guys behind the bar.

Maitais were good and cheap, but bartender was rude from the get go. We just had the one drink and left

I love this place, and in my opinion it's the best place I found. Made my trip better..

Great place for live music, but PAY WITH CASH as you go! Do not, under any circumstances, give them your credit/debit card to keep your tab "open." I did, and told them I was paying with cash and they still ended up charging my card l, so I paid the same tab, TWICE! Even if you ONLY plan on using your card, they charge an extra fee/separate transaction (anywhere from $25 to $38) until the original amount clears. NONSENSE!

Owner, your bartenders are stealing from you and your patrons. I was double charged on my card. They did not have an itemized bill. Sketch

Even when they had like 15 customers and 2 bartenders it was tough to get a beer. Seemed to snub tourists. Spent to much time on their phones.

Great dance floor. Live music every night. Friendly crowd. Prices are low. Can't beat it In Waikiki

Love this little place. Certainly a heavy hitter of a pub... and I saw obvious locals only, a really good deal. I like it because they don't pretend they're something they're not.

First night on Oahu! Wanted to find a fun bar to hang out at! As soon as we walked in the door the bartender gave us attitude! Total ass! Kept hinting to us to leave (obviously we're tourists)! Left very soon after that! DO NOT GO THERE!

The service was alright, but the bartender kept telling my friend that we should leave. It is apparently a local's bar, and they don't appreciate tourists. I have never been asked to leave a bar, especially if we just got there. We wanted to go to a non- hotel bar and found this one. What a disappointment! Avoid this place. They don't appreciate your money.

it's what you expect. Casual, good booze and beer, music, and plenty of space to enjoy your pint of whatever. would I recommend this place, Yes. It is the no-frills, no-thrills Irish pub you expect to find, where they serve good drinks, friendly staff, and good music.

The locals here are dope but the guy David or something like that is way toooo serious. His customer service skills are sooooo bad. A fight broke out in his watch.

Irish Rose Saloon is a decent place for some Guinness on draft, so it's what you would expect at a Irish pub. Obviously a very popular and busy location for holidays like St. Patrick's day. Located on the second floor, so expect to walk up stairs and show your ID to the bouncer. It is very popular among locals who live around there. Can get pretty crowded on the weekends. There's a smoking area outside. They do have cheap drinks such as $5 Mai Tais. There is a credit card fee, so I recommend cash. They do have live music, you can check their calendar for specific bands. Dartboard available too. You just have to ask bartender for darts. Overall it's what you would expect from a no frills dive bar. Some interesting characters you might run into here though. Overall 3.5/5

I have eaten there twice, while visiting. Both times it was excellent...the food was the freshest I have ever had in a Public House. Everything was prepared and cooked perfectly. Next visit, I will probably visit again. Service was very good...and this was during COVID.... The restaurant's decor is true to the Irish/English them...very up scale, but inviting. As a matter of fact it is beautiful. I was very comfortable and pleased.

Chucklefuck at the front door has never seen a military ID. He was looking at the front when I told him the DOB was on the back, and snapped and said he's been in this industry for years. r/okaybuddy
