These people do not label their desserts, and when I asked them what types of desserts they are selling, they acted as if I was bothering them. They looked overwhelmed by customers, but only half of the restaurant was full.

Come here almost everyday for the last month as my job relocated me here to the Ala Moana center, Jessica is always happy with a smile on her face, which is good to see because there’s not many like that. 10/10 customer service. Thank you guys!

A little-known cafe that has been around for a long time inside Neiman Marcus at Ala Moana Center. It's a small and casual cafe, but as you would expect from a cafe located in a high-end department store, the food and cakes are authentic! Whatever you eat is delicious! But perhaps word of mouth has spread, and when I visited Hawaii for the first time after the coronavirus, it was a huge success! There are so many people waiting that there are many names on the waiting list!I was relieved that the timing was good because the rotation was quick and it was my turn in about 15 minutes.Compared to a while ago, it doesn't feel like a hidden gem, but there were still very few Japanese people around, probably because it wasn't well known by Japanese tourists.Recommended when you want to take a break from shopping or just want to cool off and eat something delicious!

Favorite place for a leisurely lunch. Great menu and the best coffee and desserts at the mall. Servers are super attentive and helpful too! There’s usually a wait but you can give your phone # and go browse the store and they’ll call you when your table is ready.

Love this place. My niece Alaana that dance hula at the Ala MOANA Center Stage introduced me to this place & it's been my favorite always when I'm at the Mall. Love their menu, desserts, Espresso. Awesome service always. I took my Aunty to lunch twice now since Mariposa gave us bad service from the hostess. Thank God I took my Aunty there & our Waitress Chrissy gave us the best service ever & her suggestions on food is on point always. We love Chrissy & also the staff so welcoming. We had the Salmon Pasta with asparagus, capers & tomatoes is there special of the day. So onolicious, soups are awesome too, and we had Boston Chocolate Cream cake with whip cream, phenomenal. And we also had their sandwiches, chicken salad with Rye bread & New England Clam chowder. Soo delicious . We also take care Chrissy on Tips. I used to be A corporate trainer for RubyTuesday HAWAII & always take care the Hospitality Industry staffs. The place looks really comfy & perfect setting's. We will be back to try your Oxtails Special & visit Chrissy again. Much Mahalo Nui for a wonderful place to eat at. Please Acknowledge Chrissy for her awesome service & friendly personality.

Oxtail was sold out. What a terrible experience waiting to try their daily special and its sold out. Maybe have a sign at the entrance so people dont wait a long line to get disappointed. Small sign.

My favorite Neiman Marcus restaurant is (was!) Mermaid Bar, but I was devastated to learn that they closed down permanently. Their menu is much lighter than Mariposa. Luckily, they have a hybrid menu from Mermaid Bar that they're now serving at Espresso Bar, on the first floor. The seating is very limited, so be prepared to wait! But it's worth the wait. They even brought back everyone's favorite daily specials from Mermaid Bar, including the oxtail soup, which is on Thursdays. Now if they'd only bring back the lasagna....

My sister-in-law suggested we meet for lunch at the Espresso Bar at Neiman Marcus. I love going to lunch and the Sunset Lounge at the Mariposa Restaurant, so I was really looking forward to going to the Espresso Bar. After yesterday, I'm really torn, they are both excellent! I totally enjoyed everything about the Espresso Bar. The Espresso Bar has a low key casual vibe with excellent service and the food is seriously very good! Although the menu is limited, it is perfect for lunch and they also have daily specials that reflect Hawaii, like Oxtail Soup, Shrimp Soba Noodles and Loco Moco. An added plus is Wine & Specialty Cocktails are available. It was Thursday and their special was the highly touted Oxtail Soup. I really wanted to try the Lobster Salad Sandwich on a Croissant. I got the Sampler of the Daily Soup, half a sandwich and Maui chips. I upgraded it to the Lobster Salad & Croissant and switched out the Maui chips for a small salad. So worth it! My lunch was delicious, they do not skimp on the lobster. A glass of Chardonnay made it perfect. I also did takeout of the Oxtail Soup for my dinner. It was packed beautifully to go. I love Oxtail anything, Soup, Stew, an Oxtail Buco or Ragu. Believe me when I say, the Espresso Bar's Oxtail Soup is just about the best I have had. The broth is perfection and the Oxtail is tender! While I still love Mariposa and their Laska Curry and the Sunset Lounge, I can see myself stopping by often at the Espresso Bar for a quick bite or takeout! The server mentioned Chicken Pot Pie as a special on Saturday. Have to come back for that! This is my first review of 2023! Happy New Year!

This is a cafe with no doors so it's an open area dining. The menu generally does not change much. They do have specials for each day of the week so you can get the same food every week if you wanted. I usually get The Sampler. The soup is always different so check with your server what soup they have for the day you visit. Sandwiches do have the choice of white bread, wheat bread, or croissant for $3 more. The Sampler does come with a bag of Maui chips but I substituted with salad instead. If you order regular coffee, they have the usual sugar and cream but also condensed milk if you want to try that out instead. You can also get a togo cup with fresh coffee when you leave if you choose the regular coffee. The staff is very friendly and makes sure to check everything is going well while you're dining. Parking is at Alamoana Shopping Center. Lots of parking but I usually park behind Neiman Marcus for convenience. -1 star for the price, which isn't any of the workers fault but more on Nordstrom management. You know dam well +$3 for 1 croissant is overpriced.

Whenever my mom and I are at the mall and feeling a little fancy, we always like to come here for a mother daughter date! The food is always decent and the staff are so nice. My mom loved her lobster sandwich (her go to order)! The caprese sandwich for me was a little heavy for me but still a pretty good sandwich! Overall, definitely a nice little cafe tucked away from all the noise of the mall.

We've been dining here off and on ever since Neiman Marcus opened at Ala Moana. Then the pandemic happened and we lost all our memories of this cafe. We came back when in-person dining was allowed and we haven't had a bad experience since. The pictures in this review are of the daily specials (as of late January 2022, they might be different when you read this). We've had every single daily special (we had to so we could get pictures lol) and they are all good, however our favorites are the ones on Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday. As for desserts, some of them are completely amazing and reminded us of the best ones we've had in various patisseries across France and Japan. The tarts are usually very well made and the coffee cake muffin is also delicious (ask your server to warm it up and maybe even get it a la mode). Speaking of servers, I haven't read all the reviews but if any say that the service here is not good, don't believe them. Service here is amazing! Professional, efficient and most of all friendly, the entire staff is wonderful and we look forward to coming here as it is very relaxing. We will definitely be back!

The first two times we ate the lobster club ($20/sandwich) at the E Bar, we loved it. Unfortunately the third time was very disappointing. We bought two sandwiches and both had pieces of lobster that tasted off, like it wasn't fresh, there also were pieces of shell in the lobster meat, and to top it off the cost of the lobster club was $35 each! It is also worth mentioning that we ordered the sandwiches to-go but upon arriving at the specified time, we were told they "forgot " to make the sandwiches. Needless to say we don't recommend the lobster club and we're not going to this restaurant again.
