Awesome little hole in the wall. Came here to get some Kava and unfortunately arrived right at closing time. The gentleman running the place was so polite and still served us and set me up with some to go as well. 10/10 recommend.

Guy was friendly enough at first, but as he was finishing up making my kava I gave him some money and asked for some change. He completely shifted his tone and got really offended that I asked for change, then went on a tirade about how I'm not local and 'there's real locals that come here like -insert well known reggae artist-" his rudeness turned the dinginess of the establishment from a cool and rustic vibe into a dirty and unkempt one.

Visited here for the first time today and love the kava and the space. It is a hidden gem that has been in the Kalihi neighborhood for over 20 years! It is the best kava you will find on the island. And a great chill spot to come hang out. Bring back live music!

Great basic place. Good vibes. Ambiance is literally you’re sitting in between parked cars under cover with lights strung above. The guy who runs it is mellow and helpful. Very chill and low key.

We visited in 2020 and had a great experience with Kava. Must have Kava and try their Food masala and other stuff. Very welcoming and delicious . I am currently in Oahu like 10 mins away from Fiji Kava. This will be my second trip to HI. --- RamRam Boss Ghor Doh Naqona... (Greetings & Taki time ) From The Osterhoudts

I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. Not much but a small alley warehouse shop but I love stopping by chatting with Daiya and grabbing some kava to go and ground kava to take back home. He has quality Fijian waka.

Nowhere to sit, besides in a parking lot. We left after we arrived there. Nice worker though!

High quality kava. It was my first time trying the drink and the owner was really nice and helpful. He made me a 6 pack and said that if I like it I can come back and he will show me how to make it from the powder. Definitely going back.

daya is the best and so is his kava! ask to learn about the kava and he’ll teach you. must try place while in hawaii!

The owner talked to me like I ask for a free drink. The drink was nasty and overpriced.

A kind spirited owner who makes great kava. He is friendly and chatty. If you like conversation, ask him about how to make Kava or the charity he runs! He was kind enough to also let us try his homemade peanut butter and beet salad (not on the menu, but they’re great!).

If you are looking for a full sit-down kava cafe, this is not your place. But, if you are looking for an intimate and perhaps a little austere place to have some authentic kava this is your place. The owner is knowledgeable about the history and preparation of Kava and does wholesale if you wanted to make your own.

The best kava and the best people can be found at Daya's Fiji Kava. Pounds his kava onsite, so it's the freshest and strongest you'll find anywhere.

Daiya is cool! We jus grab and go usually but when we do stay and hang out he serves us snacks for free and we talk story. Good business we like to support.
