Great, authentic Chinese food. The lobster is their feature and we'll worth it! Great service too!
Got a table. Waited 25min. No one came.
Not even a drink nor acknowledgement.
Got funny looks only. I was with male friend..so two guys. Felt discriminated because so we walked out.
Highest consumer satisfaction with delicious food and good prices.
One of my favorite go-to restaurants on Oahu. The crab and lobster dishes are outstanding but the best is their walnut shrimp. Fantastic service!

Don’t let the photos I took fool you. Right where does one begin. I saw the long lines and thought that this place would be amazing since people all wanted to go. Oh how wrong I was.
We get seated and place our order within 5 minutes. And then we wait. And wait. And wait. For a grand total of 1 hour before we get our first dish. This is how we realized the reason why there was a long line outside was NOT because they were yummy and delicious but rather because service was SO SLOW. I swear I saw servers just doing laps around the restaurant doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. So we ate the food, it was ok. Nothing splendid. For the amount of time we waited I could’ve spent half the money buying the raw materials and making the food better myself (I’m Chinese I know how to cook this shit). Yea that lobster might look nice but damn it was so mid. I can’t believe they made something so good so average.
Ok now onto the bill. We asked for it. But didn’t receive it for 20 minutes after talking to 3 servers. Once again we saw them walking laps DOING NOTHING. The bill comes and it’s just numbers. I ask what these numbers mean and for some reason AN 18% TIP WAS INCLUDED?? I asked if this was optional, because for the service they provided the max they were getting is 15%. Don’t worry I’m a good tipper I worked in restaurant service I know the difficulties. But if you don’t work hard and just walk laps don’t expect a good tip. Anyway I asked the server and they laughed and were like people give 20% or 25% and I laughed back 🤣. They also insisted I use card which was weird but other reviewers said they make you tip again.
Tldr; don’t let the long lines fool you, it’s lowk not worth and they try scamming you. If you’re in the area go to Chong Qing Cuisine instead— they are amazing.
Busy around 10 am. Lucky we got here just in time before the crowd got here. Staff are quick and friendly.

Fook Yuen Seafood Restaurant in Honolulu is the best spot for seafood, especially their lobster—it’s always fresh and delicious. However, it’s worth noting that the lobster price has been increasing yearly from $8.99 per unit few years ago. Despite the price hike, the quality of the seafood still makes it a top choice.

My mother ended up paying an additional 18% (total of 36%) in tip at this restaurant.
Even though Gratuity was originally included, there was no explanation given.
I am very disappointed in the response, which makes me think that they are targeting people who are not good at English. . . .
Everyone please be careful
bybo is possible
Be careful with the tips. There is no itemized invoice and they add tips automatically for 18% randomly. I even check other tables bill and some did not have but some did. Service was horrible as we had no service at all other than handing over the food.
Food was good and pretty quick served.

When our group arrived at Fook Yeon restaurant, the woman at the front desk asked how many people there were, and we answered "four." She told us to sit and wait, which we did. Later, a group of eight with a reservation arrived and was seated immediately. Another group of four arrived after them, and the woman asked them to sit as well. Three minutes later, the woman seated the group of four who arrived after us. I asked her if we weren’t the ones who came first, and she lied, saying that the group of eight had come first. When I insisted, she changed her story and said the group with the reservation had priority. I don’t know if she forgot about the group of four or if she was lying on purpose, but I felt very upset and uncomfortable. After waiting for another 30 minutes, I asked how much longer it would be, and her response was that it might take longer, and if we didn’t like it, we could leave. Although we had already wasted time waiting, we decided to leave.
