Love the mochi and chi chi dango.. it’s a must stop for us every year we come home to visit family!
Mochi was amazing
They're located in Moiliili. Easy to find using Google Maps lol. Parking can be a problem if you don't go at the right time. I lucked out cause when I pulled in there was one stall and it was reserved for Fujiya.
The shop is cute. I didn't expect it to be that small but it is long. It can get crowded during peak hours.
I actually went there to pick up my IG giveaway prize but I also had a list of things I wanted to get since I hardly go into town lol 😆 the cashier was very friendly and makes you feel like family. I forgot to grab the mix pack of senbei and she went in the back to grabe a bag.
The mochi is so fresh and pillowy soft. I grabbed the last eggnog mochi 👍🏼got the 9 PCs manju pack.
Thank you Fujiya ❤️

Adorable shop with the softest mochi - both traditional and creative flavors.
As we are headed home, we were only able to purchase a couple mochi and a small box of chi chi dango to share.
Dec 2024: strawberries are not in season so the strawberry mochi may not be available.
The white bean with fresh blueberries mochi (pink skin) are quite large and tender.
I kept them in the refrigerator for the afternoon to cool them down, then left them at room temp for about 20 min prior to eating.
Very delicate flavor and the blueberries are a good choice as 1) they don't leak water (ahem, strawberries and chocolate), and 2) they keep for a few days without drying out.
I will be trying to transport the chi chi dango home, so I will update my review at a later time. The flavor are quite interesting!
Banana, melon, strawberry, and ramune.
Parking lot is shared with the restaurant next door. There is probably street parking but I am not familiar with the area.
I parked in the next lot over for Onoya Ramen (newly opened) and our ramen bowls were delicious!

For years, we’ve been spoiled not only by the outstanding and highly personalized customer service, but also by the variety, uniqueness and high quality of mochi, manju and other specialized products! Never disappointed and always walking out truly WOWED! Without a doubt, best on the island, best in the States and perhaps, best in the world! Highly recommended!

Fujiya Hawaii has very tasty mochi and they are so fresh. The place is very clean, and the people are very friendly. We had Strawberry, Red Bean, and Peanut Butter Mochi. We also got the Pumpkin and Red Bean Manju. Most excitingly, they also are making Butter Mochi which was so good! Definitely will go back to visit again.
Highly Recommend: Jumbo Strawberry Mochi, Red Bean Mochi, and Butter Mochi.

A random person randomly told me this was the best mochi ever. They were 100% correct. The lady behind the counter was super awesome and gave us a bunch of samples. She essentially forced us to buy peanut butter and said it’s their best seller by far…she was absolutely correct and it blew our collective minds. We got a strawberry and mixed berry mochi as well that were delicious. So different from the ice cream variety mochi and I will forever want this style!!

We bought dango, mochi and manju to try.
Dango: got haupia and melon flavors. The haupia is so flavourless, and melon is too sweet with artificial flavor. I like that the texture is soft.
Mochi: got lychee mochi, the lychee is from a canned lychee which is normal. The skin is too sweet again.
Manju: got sweet potato filling. The sweet potato is yellow, not purple like Okinawan kind, and it was very very sweet. Skin is a thick dough.
Overall I would not go back here, everything was just too sweet to enjoy. Service was very rushing too.

The mochi is so soft and delicious. Definitely recommend the fresh fruit mochi and chichi dango. The staff were super kind and friendly to my young kids as well. They gave them samples to try since they’ve never had it before. Will definitely visit again when we return to the island.

Excellent fresh mochi, you can watch them making and packaging. Parking in front makes it accessible even in very crowded honolulu where parking always a challenge. If we had more time would have returned for more

BEST ever mochi! So good we came twice during our trip and bought some to take home. The fresh strawberry matcha was a fav with the fam but I loved the peanut butter one! My husband even bought their tshirt. Very friendly and helpful service.
The chilled zenzai is especially delicious. It's very filling and has a lot of mochi inside, so it's outstanding! Daifuku is red and white, and the white one has red bean paste, while the red one has white bean paste. Both are smooth and chewy. The sweetness is just right. It is convenient because there is a parking lot. This is a long-established store in Honolulu.
