Chef Miki is a magician. The fish was of highest quality and the flavor combinations made each bite sing. We'll return here again and again. Excellent service and quality.

Chef Miki truly delivered one of the most delectable sushi experiences I've ever enjoyed! This was a birthday dinner for me and my spouse (we have bdays a week apart) and it was magical! The ambience is so intimate, it felt so special and individually curated. Her bites and the flavor pairings were incomparable to anything else I've tasted!! A wonderful Waikiki experience, can't wait to return and find out where Chef Miki will take us next!

Everything was fine. Nothing spectacular. The concept of sourcing locally with fresh ingredients is good, but the taste and quality is just "fine". Tried it once and I'm good. Many of the 5 stars reviews seem generous. Perhaps because I had high hopes based on the (early) high reviews. Food = solid 3 stars for the price. It was good, but nothing was spectacular or memorable. There's a lot more places with equivalent or better quality seafood for less cost a la carte. The uni toast was my favorite with a good combination of flavors, but the Japanese milk bread toast was a bit tough and stale. Again, it was fine for the price. Price = 3.5 stars. Reasonable Omakase for what you get in the heart of Waikiki. $120 pp with a couple of beers. Service = 5 stars. Attentive and courteous staff. Water was always filled, dishes were cleaned right away, and checked in with beverages and ginger at all times. Atmosphere = 2 stars. Small, awkward space. You see silverware, glasses, and cookware where ever you look. It feels like a makeshift pop up that is ready to be disassembled the next day.

This omakase experience is something you should absolutely treat yourself to, I cannot recommend it enough! The unique seasonal menu is crafted personally by Chef Miki, and each individual dish was served by her assistant Tomo. The menu is a fusion of Hawaiian, Japanese, and Mexican flavors and highlights local produce. Chef Miki explains each course as they are served; it allows you to time to appreciate how creative each dish is when you get to hear how she layered and combined different flavors to find the balance of the Mexican Asian fusion. She answered all the questions we had regarding the dishes, which was such a nice change of pace for an omakase restaurant! Restaurant is located within another restaurant, you must enter Buho in order to find Fukurou. They validate parking! We parked in the Waikiki Shopping Plaza. Sushi bar style seating, 10 seats total for intimate setting.

My husband took me here for my birthday and I loved it! The Mexican flavors were mild so it blended really well with Japanese cuisine. Everything was delicious but my favorite was the chawanmushi with crab. They could also work on the ambiance, it lacks character.

This is definitely the speakeasy omakase in a very odd location. Fusion of Mexican/Hawaiian influence is a nice touch but not overpowering to the Japanese cuisine. Ambiance is good with only a seating of 8 but noise intrusion from Buho was a bit distracting. Service was delicate as was the food with a nice verbal description before presentation.

Chef created delicious asian/latin fusion for omakase dining. i wish there were more nigiri pieces my stomach could handle.i went around telling locals and visitors i met along my travels about my dinner and highly recommended to make a reservation. i would definitely come back for round 2.

The staff is very unprofessional, arrogant, and rude. I arrived early for my reservation to see if I could be seated early and was told to wait by the bar. After waiting 95 minutes, I was still not seated. I walked back to the check-in area to tell them I was leaving, when the hostess threatened me with a no show or cancellation fee. She was very argumentative and condescending, and got the sushi chef involved. After some back and forth with the chef, I noticed how dysfunctional and unprofessional this place is.First, it is a restaurant within a restaurant. The initial staff we checked in with was not actually their staff, but the staff of the outside or main restaurant.Second, the chef said we should've received a phone a call about the reservation with all the information. I didn't receive one. The hostess was making excuses about the 'other' staff and defensive saying that OpenTable provided all the information. At this point, you could easily tell how dysfunctional this place is coupled with the rude and unprofessional 'staff' and actual argumentative and condescending staff. It's sad to see the chef with more compassion and understanding compared to the hostess, who was condescending and full of excuses. Stay away from this place.

The sushi was amazing and delicious Service was attentive We will try to find another occasion to return Thank you for making my birthday special! Wish I had known where to park - I made a big mistake and parked at the Waikiki Business Center, not Waikiki Shopping Plaza where Buho/Fukurou is

Best fusion omakase on the island! Chef was personable and accommodating and for the price of such high quality seafood you can't compare to any other omakase on the island! Definitely a must try and will definitely be coming back!

I read the Japanese review about having ikura on everything... This omakase menu is rotating and seasonal. Ikura was in season at the time. That being said, this restaurant is very unique. It is a fusion restaurant. Go in knowing that and you'll love it. Every dish is delicious and creative. Plus the workers have great personalities. That alone will get me back there.

Had the omakase and the flavor and taste was simply amazing! Never had anything like it. The authenticity and quality of the meal left a lasting impression. I highly recommend! $90/12 course well deserved.
