Fumi's Kahuku Shrimp

A MUST VISIT! I'm writing this review as a repeat customer. I've tried Fumi's when they were in the North Shore and I've tried their food twice now at the Ala Moana location and it's delicious!

I came this time because I really wanted to check out their Garlic Basil Chicken. If anyone has ever had TapEx Taiwanese style popcorn chicken in San Diego, then you will be very pleased with this dish. I love the balance of spice, texture, and smothering their delicious spicy garlic butter shrimp sauce on my rice.

Ventured to Ala Moana mall to try the place out. I ordered the spicy shrimp, it wasn’t a high level of spice but a high level of flavor! They make their own garlic oil and it’s evident through the flavor in each bite. Already planning my next visit

I visit the islands quite frequently and I’ve been in the hunt for the best spicy garlic shrimp ever since I’ve tasted it do the first time. This place along with Tanaka Kahuku Shrimp on Kamehameha hands down are the best I’ve had! The sauce is loaded and bursting with flavor and the service at the counter was very pleasant as well. I don’t mind eating the shrimp with the shells but for an up charge they’ll peel them for you too! It’s totally worth it. Highly recommend Fumi’s at the Ala Moana food court.

Go to Fumi’s For the shrimp. Perfectly cooked and delicious. It’s in a food court, so that’s what I have to say about the atmosphere still worth the stop.

DELICIOUS! Just like the truck on north shore, customer service was great as well. Definitely recommend Asian dressing for the salad over ranch. Food is made to order, about 8 minute wait from food drop. They had gloves and towelettes available for use as well. Don’t miss this great spot!

Highly recommend!! Tried the signature lilikoi lemon shrimp and the Szechuan Mala shrimp (asked for half spicy), and the flavors were really well balanced. Lilikoi was a unique taste, and the spicy one was flavorful! Not just one off hot like a lot of spicy dishes can be.

Staff are cheerful and pleasant, storefront screams clean, so that’s always reassuring. Ohhh and the RICE is amazing too, must be the zoriushi! I know that’s a weird thing to be excited about in addition to the shrimp but if you eat a lot of rice like Hawaii folk do, iykyk!

Just tried Fumi's and both food and service were top notch! Shrimp was super flavorful, and garlic sauce was on point! Awesome to have authentic garlic shrimp in Waikiki to save a trip to the north shore. Service was very friendly and food came out quickly. Will definitely be back!
